The dealer in St. Paul Mn. has one on a floor bike. Looks nice and I thought I might buy it. Definitely bigger then I thought it was from the picture. They had the standard tank bag also but it is still to big. | ||

I have one. It works well, has quite a bit of room and comes with a rain cover. I might be selling it if you are interested, it looks new. | ||

I borrowed a Touring Luggage System bag by SAC from my friend with a Dyna Wide Glide. It fit nicely on the triple tail, and was tied off on the grab handles. I think it holds much more than the Buell triple tail backpack too. About $200 at your neighborhood HD dealer. | ||

I have a triple tail pack that came with my bike when I bought it. It's nice, but I have a hard time getting my leg over the top when the pack is in place. | ||

I bought one as soon as it was available. I have ammo cans mounted on my Joules, but the backpack is nice to carry (integrated shoulder straps) and to bring in off the bike with valuables. Side pouches are handy for things like cameras and maps too. I found it one of the handier most used items I have bought. | ||

I have one that I use every day. I commute daily with my laptop and lunch, maybe some books and an extra shirt. I absolutely love mine. It has a laptop compartment with a pouch with strap to hold it in place. Then it has a larger cargo area. And a smaller cargo area. On top is a small pocket with zipper access. I like the convenience of the way it is held in place by the triple tail. It's really quick and easy to put on and take off. It has one strap that goes under the triple tail to hold it in place. At first it seemed awkward to deal with that strap, but I got used to it quickly. It is a lot easier to deal with than the tailpack I was using or the backpack and straps/net I tried before that. Ironically I have never actually used it as a backpack. I only carry it for a short distance so I just use the handle on the top of the pack. It isn't the most heavy duty backpack I have ever seen, but it certainly isn't flimsy. I think it is going to be quite durable and last for several years - even with my daily use. | ||

It only works with the triple tail in the upright position. It attaches to the triple tail and sits on the seat - so no passenger while it's on either. | ||

Based on the reviews above, I picked up the Buell Triple Tail Backpack from the dealer yesterday. I'm very happy with it. The pictures online made it look somewhat flimsy. But the real thing is very sturdy. Thick zippers, tough nylon material and big zipper pulls (so you can get at them with gloves). I'm also impressed with how big it is. Probably can pack easily for a weekend trip with rain gear and an extra jacket, no problem. It comes on and off the bike very simply with just one strap that goes under the triple tail. Probably a little too easily to leave it unwatched in a high traffic area. The laptop pouch is padded and keeps its contents snug - which is what I was mainly interested in. It was a hot day yesterday and it was nice to not wear the laptop on the way home from work! | ||

The Triple Tail Backpack was a high school project and NOT made by the folks who make all the other Buell P&A stuff. It is of extraordinary quality and well thought out. The kids got an "A". | ||

I use mine daily riding or driving. Just noticed that the envelope that fits over the triple tail is tearing at both sides (not the seam, the fabric). It seems like the bottom of the bag want to come straight out from the tail yet the seat (with me on it) drops away. The tail is left suspending some of the weight of the bag and then the fabric is separating. The bag is tough so this is disappointing. If it was at the seam I would have it resewn but this looks more challenging. Maybe I can get it replaced with black leather and a buell patch on it. It has to remain taught however to keep the bag stable. | ||
