Two Part Question: 1/ Has anybody used the Salamander end weights with any success? 2/ Is it just a matter of cutting of the ends of the grips to install them? Thanks, |

Umm, I Haven't but, almost any barend will cut down on vibration. I'm saving for a pair from Throttemister. I think the S3T should have a cruse control. But it is a little less than double what you are looking at. (Message edited by drhacknstine on August 17, 2009) |

Any idea about the installation? I'm assuming I can just cut the ends off of the existing grips and install the end weights. Anybody have any idea if this will work? Thanks |

It's a personal taste thing, and looks thing. I've seen the entire end of the grip cut off. Or just a hole cut in the end to insert the bar end. As long at the grips don't hang out beyond the end of the bar, so far as to prevent a good mounting of the bar end, I prefer the hole method. |

I have a set of Manic Salamander bar end/throttle lock on my 99 S3T. It was an easy install and they work great. The twisted throttle boys told me to "Really Crank" on the allen screws to seat the insert, it was so much work that I made an aluminum sleeve out of a pepsi can and used it as a spacer, 6 months and 3 thousand miles so far with no issues. |
