Decided to get rid of the ugly OEM license plate and went with the jardine piece. Also installed some LED bolts. Only left to do is find some black bolts so that I can get rid of those reflectors. Also installed DDM HIDs in 5k color. I'm going to re aim the headlight. I think mine came to low from the factory.

Unless they've changed things, the tail light has a clear lens at the bottom. The rear section needs to be cut away to reveal it. Then the tail light shines on your plate, that's what I did.

picture of the tail light CR assembly. Its covered by the rear underbelly of the seat. So no light gets to the license plate. Besides LED bolts are so much cooler.

Anyone know if Buell is offering an LED tail light with license plate light? I see the 2010 is listed as "TAIL LIGHT, LED, W/O LICENSE PLATE LIGHT". That almost makes me think there is a "TAIL LIGHT, LED, W/ LICENSE PLATE LIGHT". ac |

Are you referring to Fender Eliminator? I got it from eBay. Got it in less then 4 business days. Once you remove the OEM license holder you will the see the exposed OEM wiring. Pretty simple stuff. |

All 2003 to 2009 XB's and 1125 models have the small clear lens for license plate light to shine through, on all but the firebolt, you have to make a cutout yourself for it to shine through. -Robert www.xblights.com |
