My AT only seem to read correctly periodically ? When you go to start her up , cold in the morning , the AT reads some erroneous temp , like 104* , then after several minutes....it seems to take a correct reading , then stays at that temp till shes ready to read correctly again , usually several minutes any ideas ??? anyone else ??? oh , and btw , im used to the whole erroneous reading it gets from the pod fans and all that , but this is different (Message edited by Thurstonbuell on August 17, 2009) |

First - do you still have the inner airbox on? I have found the AT to be more accurate with the cover ON(forces fresh air across the sensor). Also, the AT will stay constant until you have traveled a mile or so at 20+ mph. Because the ECM uses the AT reading to adjust "hot enrichment" and that affects the A/F mixture, I put my inner airbox back on. Zack |

Zac, Yeah the inner box is in place , at one point yesterday , I made a stop for a couple hours , I started the bike , it was at 79* and stayed there for oh maybe 40 minutes or more with both stop n go traffic and highway speeds , and it was 92* out , both fans running |
