NEBO "used" to be New England Bike Owners back in the day, When it first began with Mike, due to not a lot of Buells were around back then... Hows that for some long lost trivia on NEBO.... I will be at Carls Sunday, Taking off from there & not sure If I am doing the loop or doing something different. I ride them roads during the week so maybe a change is in order. To those involved: Hateful personal attacks have no place anywhere on BadWeB. If anyone is unable to avoid hateful childish insult they really need to just avoid posting. That kind of behavior degrades the forum and ruins it for the rest of the folks. Take it offline or better yet, simply grow up. Carrying around a grudge is an incredibly miserable way to live life. Rejecting reconciliation is a petty miserable thing to do, especially amongst a group of mutual friends. Curmudgeonly lecture over. "Buells may be slow but they are heavy." I'd rather ride a slow heavy Buell than a 600cc IL4 any day, not matter what. The tractor engine is one of the characteristics that I really like about my Buells. Gutless low-end, rev to the sky, 600cc IL4's? I can't stand the bikes. But hey, I don't have a set of Repsol leathers. In the end, on the track, it's usually not the bike that is slow. Anyone who thinks they are fast after a couple track days is, well, not. Enter an actual race against competitive racers, then you'll find out how fast or slow you really are. Check your lap time against the track record and let us know. Until then, it's all bullshit. Buells may be heavy but AT LEAST they are slow Because nothing says "lightweight" like a 460 lb bike with a 1200cc motor..LOL They are like letting a retarded kid into the Olympics on the track... sure they can do it, but in the end they FAIL.. Speaking of TRACKS.....Gotta love the "Special" treatment Buell has been getting lately for there so called "Factory" race bike..... Its not even Superbike legal since its not street legal. So WHY is DMG allowing it? It's A BUELL SILLY!!! Now at the moment I may ride a Honda, but I bought it to do a job, and do it without BLOWING UP on the track.... My Buell did not fair so well after one day on a track... and I agree 100% that it is THE RIDER and not the BIKE, But you know so much you knew that already didn't you... And as you requested I am running 1:25's consistently at NHMS, with a best of 1:21.. Yea I am slow, but at least I am heavy!. Not sure what the record is but thought I would at least answer that for you... I like all bikes Blake, My Buell is the funnest street bike to date and I will get another one....but please don't try to convince me to wear Buell Goggles and believe they are the best of the best...I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...
