Very nice '98 S1 W/6,000 miles.Bike looks nearly flawless. Two issues  riginal tires are shot.Starter is acting up......I think the starter clutch is crapping out.My shoulder is still F'd up.Untill I get better I can't fix it,so that's how it sits for now. Now for my disclaimer........I don't want to see it get chopped.I don't care how stupid that sounds.I don't need money.I want to see it go to a good garage where it will be kept intact as a Buell S1 Lightning. Trades......I love to trade.Buell S2,V8 Mustang,Honda CR 125/250 2 smoke,Jap.rocket,vintage MX bike.Let's be real though.Don't expect me to give you a grand and my Buell for your old push mower with a blown up Briggs.No long distance trades. Do you have a rough idea how much the starter would cost to fix/replace via a dealer? In the condition it's in do you think it could make a trip to Wisconsin from Texas? I'm guessing I'd need to replace tires before a trip. | ||

A10tankkill,with some tires it will make it as long as you keep the little tank gassed up.I'd be much more worried if your ass could handle the trip or not.You'd just have to stop in Georgetown,TX for some tires on the way out.We use a local place that quoted me $80 and 45 minutes wait to repair the starter if I pull it and bring it to them.I think HD or Buell will sell you a new one for $300-$350.I'll pull it when the pain backs off enough. | ||

Bike is still for sale due to conflicting schedules...Price is $2800...Price is firm!I will not hold it.I will not finance it.I will remain 100% owner or 0% owner.It's pretty simple........Give me $2800 cash and it's yours and you ride it off,load it in your pick up,or have it shipped to your garage.The bike is worth $2800 and it's very nice.Oh yeah,leave me the F alone if you're looking for a donor bike to build a gay mini chopper. I have a whole lot more into the bike than what I'm asking for it.I havn't got much use out of it to justify taking such a loss.Some Buell guys get pissed off about values and part their Buells.Some try to entice buyers looking for a donor.Some play the "bump" game every five minutes.As for me,I just want a fast and painless transaction with a buyer/trader that won't chop it or I want no deal at all. | ||
