I'll be there Sunday. Gates open at 11:00, so that probably means racing dosen't start until mid-afternoon, earliest. I'll call the track this week to get an idea when practice and actual racing starts. I was thinking about that BBQ place on rt 20. Small place with just outdoor seating (that way, the puppy can join in on the fun). Anyone interested in some brisket?

Saw them last Year at Vernon Downs which is a one mile Horse track, but nothing this year. That is a Great track and the riders like it. Its an "on again-off again" type of thing since I believe 1999. Sucks when it's off Year such as this one. |

I called the track today. The woman I spoke to said racing will start around 11:00. So, for me, BBQ is out. Maybe a late breakfast in town, then hit the track. Bott, know any places in town for breakfast? |

Hey Crusty, does that burger place serve breakfast? That would be a good place to meet up. |

Uly, not sure if that place does breakfast, but across the street from it is a place that does. Pretty sure it's called Jimmy D's Diner |

Just 180 miles east in Owego, NY you'll find great speedway action at Champion Speedway: http://www.jbrspeedway.com/ I've raced there! |

Oh, did I mention Neil Young was there? And the one and only Bott. And an old AMA factory Triumph rider who knows most of the guys that I ride with when I'm not riding with you guys. And they have these really awesome french fries for only $2.00. And a pretty good breakfast joint right up the road. And a dunk tank with scantily clad ladies with questionable morals. |

chose NOT to photograph a lot of members of a "red and white 3 patch " m/c smoking odd smelling cigarettes LoL The track temperature musta been near 100, and staying in the shade was the only way to survive. There were kids races which were amazing. We met a "racing dad" that seemed a lot like a soccer mom. His son was probably 10 or so. Kid had HUGE brass ones--at least 3 times he had massive tank slappers coming off turn 4, and the little dude just kept it pinned and rode them out. Also forgot to take a pic of Ulynut talking to Jeff Spicolli, who was funny as hell. Gnarly Dude! Great day, wish they had them more often. |
