well I had asked this before, but I guess the thread got erased..... being that I am out here in afghanistan, the most fun I have is living vicariously through everyone else's adventures (and it gives me idea's of things I want to do when I get back) as such, anyone know what lucky soul won the uly and where they are going? any other stories of adventure rides anyone is taking here soon (i'm a sucker for a story... and it helps pass the time) |

Buell Motorcycle Forum: Big, Bad & Dirty (Buell XB12X Ulysses Adventure Board): Adventure ride -------------------------------------------------- ---------- Posted by Patrick2cents on Saturday, August 15, 2009 - 01:31 pm: Just curious.... and I know this may have been a taboo subject before, but does anyone know what lucky soul gets to take their adventure ride in a new uly? (the adventure grant) clearly it won't be me as I am in afghanistan (hence didn't enter) but I would love to read about it and where they are going! anyhow.... what was that you said about alpacas? -------------------------------------------------- ---------- Buell Motorcycle Forum: Big, Bad & Dirty (Buell XB12X Ulysses Adventure Board): Adventure ride -------------------------------------------------- ---------- Posted by Ericcogdell on Saturday, August 15, 2009 - 03:53 pm: I entered but have heard nothing or saw anything on the Buell Web site. I guess someone could contact the webmaster and inquire. I think I will do that. I looked everywhere for an e-mail address. Nothing to be found. If anyone can send one my way then I would be happy to inquire about the results of the contest. I think they took all of your stories and gave no bike away. I found a copy of the contest rules and it said the the winner would be announced the day after the contest on the web-site. It never was. I hope that we can get to the bottom of this. -------------------------------------------------- ---------- Buell Motorcycle Forum: Big, Bad & Dirty (Buell XB12X Ulysses Adventure Board): Adventure ride -------------------------------------------------- ---------- Posted by Sboggan on Saturday, August 15, 2009 - 09:45 pm: There was a post here on badweather toward the end of July indicating the winner had been notified (see thread below). I'm not so sure...I think Buell's response is delayed because they extended the contest one month from its original end date in June. Assuming they stick to their original timeline, I believe (wishful thinking?) the winner will be announced in the next coupla weeks. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/474125.html?1248332718} -------------------------------------------------- ---------- Buell Motorcycle Forum: Big, Bad & Dirty (Buell XB12X Ulysses Adventure Board): Adventure ride -------------------------------------------------- ---------- Posted by Froggy on Saturday, August 15, 2009 - 10:15 pm: They are busy filming the video of the new bike getting cubed |

Patrick, you said you are in afghanistan. I assume you are in the military. If so is there anything you need. Send me your APO and I will send you what ever I can. |
