Nope. The front bearings are different than the rear. |

Lake, I think the fronts are the same as the left rear. The two R rear are different. Damn, this stuff used to be at the top of the page! |

There are three different bearings used for the four spots in the wheels. The front two are the same. The rear two are different. |

Oh oh. Does anyone know what the difference is between the front and the left rear. I matched up a bearing from the rear at a bearing shop then bought three, so I think I have the rear ones installed into the front. I've put 5k on it, so if I screwed up, it doesn't seem to be serious. Although a front wheel bearing failure would be. |

Eric... I'm not sure how you could do that and have everything fit correctly. Here's the difference in sizes... 6205 Bore - 25mm OD - 52mm width - 15mm 62205 Bore - 25mm OD - 52mm width - 18mm 6204 Bore - 20mm OD - 47mm width - 14mm I'd immediately stop riding the bike and get the right bearings installed!!! |

BUELLers: If there is nothing wrong with your wheel bearings you can RE-GREASE them, "YES" this is true !!! Still running my OEM wheel bearings because "i" re-grease them ... Have a 108,359.3 miles as of the last ride ... "BUT", if "i" ever have to replace one "i" will go to the BEARING SUPPLY STORE and replace all the bearings for that wheel with the BEST BEARINGs they have !!! |

Lake, Thanks for the info, I knew it was something like that... It's been a while since I changed bearings.. We should see if we can get that list posted permanently at the top of the Old School wheel thread. Brad |

I had to search for the info myself. I just replaced all my wheel bearings on Sunday. They were easy. It was the tires that gave me fits. The 90 degree and 80% humidity didn't help me any |

Thanks, Dennis. (Nice profile pic, BTW.) So the numbers are far enough apart that I would have noticed if it was wrong. My memory is faultier than my mechanical skills. Yes, I did actually get the vernier calipers out to check, just to be sure. Thanks again. |
