Please check out ebay for my 99 S3T for sale. I have owned it for 3 years, it is a great bike and this is a great forum for me to lurk on. Time to move on to something different (I am thinking about a KLR 650 this time) Enjoy the ride folks. Blakers |

Good luck with the sale of your Buell. While the KLR is a great bike, it's not the same as riding your Buell. I also own a DR650 and would prefer my S3T all day long. Well....except for those days were I feel like getting muddy |

I want a KLX650(better suspension and a lighter bike overall IMHO) converted for street use. So I'm with ya there. Street or dirt its ready for what ever you feel like. Good Luck with your sale! (Message edited by drhacknstine on August 13, 2009) |

I have a KLR 650. I love the bike, it's a '99, largely converted to street use. I put a 17 tooth on the front, great for long highway runs, 16 is good for around town. There are awesome forums for the KLR. KLR650.net is a great resource for you. Do your research on the bike. There are lots and lots of mods, fixes, and improvements to be made. As much as I love the KLR and will strive my best to keep it, (It's my first bike and the one I learned to ride on.), I was ready for something else as well. I take long trips, and while the bike does fine as it is now set up, I couldn't keep up with the Bro's when ever they decided to punch it, or when I needed to pass someone in a hurry. Plus I was just ready for a faster bike. The KLR is a fun and a joy to ride, but doesn't give you that punch and rush you get out of a Buell. I wish you the absolute best of luck! Motorcycling is a wonderful thing with so many different ways to go about it. |
