How do you feel this track configuration will be for our Buells? (Below) One fairly long straight, a long straight with a slight bend, and a lot of esses. Some rights and lefts and a great hairpin turn. I've tried to figure these tracks out with printouts like this and still do not know what favors our Buells. Bob

While we're at it, how about NJ Motorsports park in a few weeks? A championship in DSB probably will be decided at one of these, maybe both the way Eslick and Cardenas are pushing.

The VIR race is on the North course, not the full course. It's pretty technical. Lighter bikes may have an advantage.

I'd think that the shorter course, without the long straits, would be better for the Buell's torque curve (less top end pull). http://wire.ama-cycle.org/ Showed that Taylor Knapp crashed in Q1, but is still showing as the leader with a 1:28:052. It's now showing him "in the pits". Eslick is improving, up to 10th in Q1, group A |

Knapp's back out, must not have been too bad of a crash. |

OOPS, showing Eslick crashed on his Q lap 12, 11th place Peris is .001 sec behind, that could bump him out of Superpole should Peris gain a few hundredths |

Whoa, where'd DiSalvo pull that out of, a 1:27:551, a full .5 second faster than Knapp! Who is still in second. Peris finished in 9th Fillmore in 10th Eslick in 11th Higbee 23rd. |

Cardinas crashed and broke his right hand. Hope he can ride. AMA site says he crashed in morning practice. Group A qualifying that just ended has him right behind Eslick in 12th. |

Great weekend and great racing. We had a good time and I believe the Buell crowd was there representing. It seemed that Danny had as many fans in the crowd as anyone. It was good to see such a big crowd on Sunday. VIR has posted that attendance was up from last year. Both DSB races were fun to watch, but standing in turn four was great to see just how good Danny can be. Even though it has nothing to do with Buell, I believe this is the best pic of the weekend. Smilee took this pic just before Hayes soaked her.

Hayes seems like a cool cat. I like him and am glad he is doing well. looks like he is the man to beat now in Superbike. |

That picture was just one of many snapshots I was taking at the time. Im glad it turned out so well! I was thinking 'C'mon Camera!' because right after I clicked, He was coming at me! Haha! But it was fun! I got to meet Eric Pinson who races an 1125r with Liberty Waves Racing and he let me sit on his bike! He even took a picture of me on it and said he might put it on his website! yay! But he was such a cool guy. I think we talked to him for about an hour! It was great! -Smilee! |

Hey it was good to see all the fellow Buellers out at VIR this weekend. Next time lets organize a little better.... Oh and maybe get some shelter from the sun! |

Great turnout considering everything that is going on, HOT HUMID conditions really made it a challenge for the riders, teams and the fans, too! Great to meet some new Buellers along with the rest of the VIR 'regulars'. Thanks to the teams for their hospitality and the golf cart ride was fun Richie! Now some pictures: Aprilia had a horrible weekend everything that could have gone wrong did. They were constantly working on the bikes and had four DNF's to show for their efforts.

no, that is NOT a stock Tuono radiator Rocky Stargel's 'works' Aprilia team has been plagued by overheating, so additional core sections've been added to the tops & fronts of each bike's pair of rads to resolve the temps dunno if o'heating was a contributor to zero-for-4.... |
