all kidding aside, even my better half has seemingly 'fallen out of love with Obama'. I have not seen many Blacks *shown* at town hall meetings. Perhaps just not chosen to be put on the news--I certainly don't know. I just find it eerily quiet from Sharpton and the other 'Black Leaders' during this time of turmoil. Just an observation. |

when AARP jumped into the fray to endorse the bill, regardless of what the the majority of it's members *seem* to feel about the bill, it became painfully obvious what is driving this push.$$$$$ |

>>>Bush created this Debt funding the War with Iraq and still did not find any Weapons of Mass Destruction. That's cute, but inaccurate. Bush (and I'm not sure I agree with this) kept the cost of the War separate. . . it was, rightly or wrongly, not included in the national debt. It was President Barack Obama who CONCEIVED and CREATED the $878,000,000,000 "Stimulus" package. Bush . . . I'd concede . . . owns everything through T.A.R.P. (Troubled Assent Relief Program) but the rest is owned lock, stock and barrel by "Stupid and Company". Really? . . you want a "neighborhood organizer" leading the nation? Too funny. You got what you asked for. Keep an eye on Rahm. Court P.S. - And I don't think race has anything to do with any of this. |

Interesting comments by Steven Hawking on the UK healthcare system coming out today. Our healthcare system needs work. This bill will not be perfect but it will likely pass in some form. This is not news, it was part of the campaign and now the voters deserve to get some form of what they voted for. They probably will and they should. It will only be a start in overhauling our approach to healthcare. Expensive gadgets are only part of good health but a healcare plan will set a foundation. Old arguments will fade and new ideas will be able to come forward into the light. It is a lifestyle that sets the foundation of good health. Stress, pressure, uncertainty are not healthful. We need a little more security, a little more time off, a little less stress, a little less time at the feedbag and a little more exercise, a little more family time and a little less time stuck in traffic for starters. At the end of the day simply hammering on politicians will do NOTHING. That's all been done before and often. Rebuild a credible, conservative party focused on the path to a better future. That future form can have room for many ideas but needs to have thoughtful leadership. The political middle needs to know adults are in charge and that there is a thoughtful, rational, understandable path toward a better future. It will take some BIG changes to the party but it can't be a look backward or a blame game. It must start in the middle and move forward with optimistic visions. The GOP needs to unveil their own 230 mpg fresh plan for the future and get the juices flowing. Get the plan right and stop arguing last years failures or lose everything. There will be 2 parties and the GOP can still be in the mix but the writing is on the wall if the courage and wisdom is there to follow where the voters want to go. |

Hmmm, I like the NAFTA idea, US is now fee for service, money up front, either through insurance, or private pay; cant pay? feel free to seek care in Canada or Mexico. Start up lil Medicare/Medicaid/AARP communities down in sunny Central Mexico or barren arctic tundra Canada. |

He said "God Bless You All" at the end of that. aren't these the same people that want to take God out of America? These people truly scare me, and the people that put them in office scare me even more. They don't pay attention to what is going on around them! SHEEPLE, Wake TFUP! Everybody should read HR 45 as mentioned somewhere else and go ahead and start contacting your NON-representatives over the matter. |
