I took off my front wheel to change the tire and I noticed the wheel bearing is shot. So, with a weekend trip coming up,I'm in a panic and called the local dealer, Eagles Nest, Lathrop,Ca. No luck! Called the next closest,Folsom,Ca, yep and is holding it in hand. Cool!!! So I drive the hour up and get all the stuff I need and head for home. Pop the old wheel bearings out and DAMN wrong one. He gave me the rear. Called Hardly back and their sister store, Rocklin,Ca has them in stock. Head back up the next day, hour and a half to the sister store. Nope wrong one. Some idiot miss marked them and put them in the wrong spot.....FAAAACK!!!! So, two trips over two hundred and fifty miles and I still couldn't get what they say they had....Called Al, American Sport, had them in stock and shipped them the same day. Thank you AL...I don't know why I even called the dealer...Thanks for reading. |

I just bought some Lyndall Gold brake shoes from Al yesterday. He is definitely a great asset and a long time Bad Web sponsor. Honest, loyal and extremely knowledgeable. Lots of people don't realize that in addition to his great line of aftermarket stuff, he also has a great many regular maintenance items, more in fact than most Buell dealers. |

Sslowmo- American Sport Bike is definitely #1. Just for future reference, if you ever get in a bind like this again, these are standard sealed ball bearings. You can likely get them off the shelf at an industrial bearing supplier. Koyo and SKF are two good brands. |

I've spoken to Al a few times, and bought a handful of stuff from American Sport Bike. He definitely knows his stuff. |

+1 to American Sport Bike. I recently ordered a bunch of stuff from them. I forgot to check the shipping address, and had the parts sent to Iraq. I noticed the error, after confirming the order, but it was sunday here. They caught my mess up, and waited for me to contact them before shipping. They saved me like 200 bones in shipping, and the headache of explaining to customs why I'm exporting motorcycle parts. Thanks Al |

Cool that you got it and American Sport Bike had it, next time if you are in a pinch , any bearing supplier will have the wheel bearings in stock they are nothing special. |

Good to know about a Bearing Supplier. Thanks. I just finished getting the front wheel all buttoned up and all other servicing done. Plus, new belt, broke at 35,000, battery and again front brakes. LET'S RIDE...... |

What was the giveaway that let you know the bearing was bad? Just curious... I have an '06 as well, and pulled the wheel once. I wouldn't even know what to look for! ~SM |

Swordsman, Just put your fingers in the hole and turn the inside of the bearing. If it's nice and smooth then your good. If you feel anything other then smoothness change them out. That's what I did. Back was still good. I'll change them out soon. |
