Take a look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pe4Kbf8E2Mg from brands Hatch this weekend. Chris Martin was near the front of the 600 Supersport race on his ZX6 Kawasaki when it appeared to seize entering one of the fastest and scariest turns on the course (and not a place you would normally see a crash!). He was doing around 130mph when the bike let go so would have been travelling at 90mph+ when he hit the gravel. His bounce made him hit the very top edge of the air fence, which then launched him up and over the rest of the crash barriers and into the undergrowth behind the marshalls! Beleive it or not he sustained just a broken wrist  | ||

Howdy Matt...THAT was an incredible Crash and I'm happy he was OK.... The news is saying it was his ankle though.....(easier to ride with!) Though it looked like he hit the tire wall.....was that airfence? | ||

Though it looked like he hit the tire wall.....was that airfence? There was an air fence in front of the tyre wall, but he hit just the top lip of it before being launched! I think the tyre wall would have caused more damage  Most of the news here says he broke his wrist, but I haven't seen a recent report so it wouldn't surprise me if he 'discovered' some more injuries when the Adrenalin wore off on Monday morning! |
