Just got my bike back from Blue Springs HD,they replaced my shock, for the goodwill 100$.My rear tire was showing cords so I had them put on a new one,I checked the net and my cost for the tire was 142$ plus shipping, they charged me 180$ mounting and balancing included.I thought it wasnt worth ordering, changing, and balancing myself for the difference. The tire I bought was a Dunlop D207RR,180/55ZR17.The cost of the shock they replaced was 607.83,so I thought I at least owed them a tire for helping me out with the shock. The guy cleaning the bikes there did a fantastic job on mine! That bike was polished and waxed from top to bottom,I had the guy who dropped off my bike take 5$ and give it to whoever cleaned my bike.I probably should have given the guy more,I am TOTALLY PLEASED with the help and service I got from them.I was told that there was a house cleaning there, and they wanted people to give them another try,if they were displeased before.I just thought you guys might want to hear some GOOD NEWS from one of our local dealers! PS..........LETS RIDE!! |

Just thought I'd share this with everybody... I was coming back from lunch yesterday, and there was an accident about a mile from the shop at an intersection. They were directing traffic the other way, and I spotted a blue GSXR600 on its side, with its front end smooshed and fairing all over the place. I guess some lady ran a red light going about 30 or so as the guy on the gixxer was making a turn. He went over the hood, and broke his collar bone and arm. It was a brand new bike and he was a new rider. His buddy on a CBR watched the whole thing happen, but slowed down because he seen her in time. At about the exact time yesterday, anoth squid went down on the same road, on down the road about 5-8 miles. Same thing..person ran a red light, and creamed him. He wasn't as lucky as the first guy, and it took his life. They were both wearing a helmet. I expect it probably broke his back. R.I.P. Heed the wake-up call fellas. Watch the cagers, and don't be falling asleep on your motorcycle Seems like about the only way to survive with all the idiots in their 1 ton dually diesel and fancy barge sized SUV's is to either wear full leathers w/ spine protectors, or to just stay the hell away from crowded streets and highways. I opt for choice #2 On a different slightly better note, the Buell is 90% complete...should be able to get her buttoned up tonight Now I can be a "chromosexual" (shop talk) since I have an abundance of chrome frame
