Well i rode from Atterberry Indiana to Tiverton RI a little more than 1200 miles... average mileage 47mpg at 70+ mph stopped 4 times to overnight. Used the idiot gauge as well as math from pump. Purpose... to decompress from our return from Afghan. but turned into a major deal...End result we raised 10000 bucks for the fallen warrior memorial fund...the ride on the 1125r was what i expected, in the rain and i mean crazy rain oh and hale she did well...lol the old coots that lead wouldn't stop for anything crazy buggers. Definitely more manageable after re-flash low rpm and and steady speed wish i had a cruise. any way just letting u guys know,,, | ||

For about 10 dollars you can get something called a Throttle Rocker or Cramp Buster. Its a plastic piece that grips the throttle and you can hold your speed by resting the palm of your hand on it. Not true cruise control but it helps. Have you De-noided it? It reduces the throttle force by about 50%. | ||

Nice ride Nate, great results too! I have taken a couple of trips on my 11, one to South Texas and a couple of months later, to Milwaukee for Buell's 25th. Both trips added about 3500 miles each to the clock. I've had Loretta since Dec 2007 and she's got 20.6k miles. I tried a Throttle Rocker and it hits a nerve-nexus on me. Put my whole hand to sleep in 5 minutes and I almost hit a gas pump. Welcome home, ride safe. Zack | ||

Ditch the stock grips, go with the Traction Grips from Buell, and watch the issues go away. After a few days, the grips are so sticky that you almost don't have to hold on to them! Ditch the 'noid, too. It does make a significant difference. +1 on the Welcome Home, and +100 on the Thanks for your Service. R | ||

thanks guys... ive got 4500 on the clock and she was bought in 08,denoided and butterflies pinned, plan on getting a k and n filter, exhaust (yah and the jury is still out on that one)and maybe OSB tune. would like also to find 12v source for what ever! and what ever else is advised... |
