No, Galen. Please, just say No! I mean a guy can only go so far. We've got to keep a little pride. We have so little else. I'll meet you at a Dunkin' Donuts and buy you heart attack and a cup of coffee, but not Ed's house of pain. Please kind sir, not that. Anything but that. Paul: Your call. What do you want to do? |

Well Ferris glad to hear that everything is OK. I am still sore from my fall, that's including the ego! I went to to Doc yesterday and now have to go see a Hand Surgeon. Does not look good. I really want to ride but the old thumb just won't bend the right way! So all you that are planning on going riding this weekend....I say you suck too! It just is not fair! Code Red, Hey does a picture count for show and tell? Next time we see you I want a picture. And maybe we could copy one for you to share. Have a nice weekend everyone! Be safe out there, and most of all have fun. Loni |

Blastoholic is looking for some Triumph info on the Canadian page. He wants to know how they compare? I'm green or is that my bike or both of us? Not really qualified to answer is what I am saying. Can some of you guys go over and help him out? Kimberlie |

Ray you crack me up. Over on the t595 site you are giving Chris Souza a hard time about his info gathering and he is the west coast Triumph sales rep. Go easy on the poor chap. Hope you guys have fun on your ride. Mike |

Loni, I'm sorry to hear you're not healing as fast as we all would have liked. I do feel obliged to point out that a thumb is not strictly neccessary to operate a bike. Although I guess the right one kinda is. But if its the left, you shouldn't let that stop you from going out at all!I regularly ride with my left thumb held alongside my index finger (from an old war wound). Knew a guy that rode with one arm a hook. (Although he passed away in a crash, come to think of it.) Still, he could ride pretty fast anyway. And since I've come out of lurk mode, let me tell you about my life in hell. Stu and Kimberly thought it was a good story. No motorcycles involved, although I could have bought a few parts for mine. So my wife went to the bar last Tuesday. Sitting by herself. Three women beside her invite her to join them. Later in the evening, one of them goes next door to the drugstore and returns with four $1 scratch-and-win lottery tickets and deals them out to my wife and the other two. My wife's ticket is a $10,000 winner! She says,"I can't keep this. You bought it. Its yours." Everyone else at the table says,"No. Its yours. She gave the ticket to you." Even the woman that bought the ticket! But she insists. And comes home with nothing but the story. Not even the phone number of the woman that took home the jackpot. Is this grounds for divorce? Of course, that's Canadian funds, so maybe its not such a big deal. In lighter news, the Sportster.org List has a thread going on helmet stickers and bumper stickers and such. One guy tells of his licence plate frame that reads,"I'm not speeding, I'm qualifying!" That's almost as good as "Caution. Rider may dismount without warning." |

She was at a bar, not a church social and she was with strangers, not friends. "Thank you ladies, I'm calling my husband to come get me now. Here's a dollar for the ticket and I'll buy the tickets next time. See ya, bye" Actually, the whole story has a surreal aura about it. That's the sort of thing Urban Myths are made of. You should go back to that bar and do a little detective work. Get names, witnesses, etc. After you document the story properly you could write it up for the Readers Digest or something. |

OK, OK, OK, we are back! What a great ride today. Me an RAY dodged cop's to Astoria and back. Lights, sirens, AND WE DIDN'T STOP ONCE! HAR, HAR, sez I! It was the shiznit! Only could have been better with more of the 'FOGG along. Hit a buck twenty a few times. And on one long smooth straight touched 140(on my stock speedo) and was still pulling when we rolled off. Betty usd to top out lower than that. Maby 'cause we were at sea level? Yea, that must be it... Got yer call Brandon. Next time as well? I'll let Ray tell about the dufus on the bagger along Ruston... sooner, Galen

On I-705 we passed (I mean, we seriously passed!) some guy on a BRAND NEW HD bagger (he was doing 50 and I was doing 90 and losing ground to Galen) and the bagger guy took it personal. A few moments later, we were on the waterfront doing about 10 over when he flew by us like we were standing still. He had that bagger cranked up big time. Right after he passed us he found himself behind two cars, one in each lane. No Problemo. He just flew between the two cars with about ¼" to spare on each side. WOW! That's OK if you have super great riding skills I suppose. However......... A mile later, he was turning left from 30th St. onto Carr Ave. He VERY VERY SLOWLY turned just in front of an oncoming car and almost tipped his brand new bike over while doing it. I guess he showed us, by Golly. He showed us that any dumbass can twist that thingie on the right side. Even without the extra entertainment we had a wonderful ride. Way too many cops but no tickets. Somewhere between Raymond and Astoria, I came out of my normal stupor to look in my mirror and see a WSP right on my tail with his lights and sirens going full blast. “Oh darn!” sez I as I pulled over to the right and started thinking about what I was going to tell the cop. But he didn’t pull to the right, he just wanted to get by. Thank you Lord. The next time we go Astoria you gotta go with us. Too much fun. Not much traffic, wonderful roads. The Pig "n Pancake serves a great breakfast! Y’all should have been there. Yeeee Haw, I've been home for over two hours and I'm still totally amped. Damn, you guys missed a good ride. Paul -- Where were you? We were counting on you. Next time, bro's! Ray P.S. As a follow up to Motorbike Mikes post from Friday @10:51 pm: Chris Souza answered my taunt on the t595 BBS. No myth, sadly. And she realizes that it was a monster screw-up! Going back to the bar to see if anyone there knew their names is a good idea. Our local radio station has a promo that you should answer your phone by saying "I'm listening to 'JACK' radio."and you could win $1000. "Put it on your answering machine,", they say. I'm going to change my answering machine to say, "I'm listening to JACK radio and if they call me ten times I'll recoup the money that my wife gave away last week!" Motorcycle content: I'd really like to go for a ride but she's disassembled for the season still. Plus I have no money for insurance! In other news: Can anyone tell me when the Isle of Man TT takes place? No. I don't get to go. I have no money! But a friend might. |

Sorry Guys, Guess I'm not very reliable. I got some last minute work news Friday before I flew home. Seems I'll be working in Port Angeles the rest of the month and I have to leave on Monday. I hadn't seen my wife in almost three weeks and she works on Sunday. So as you have probably guessed, the spousal trump card got played and I got in too late from California to get in touch with y'all. Sorry, sounds like you had a great ride. I'm just missin out on everything this year. The other unfortunate thing is this month I'm on standby everyday with this job in PA, and have to be within a certain response time from the vessel. Looks like any rides I go on will have to happen in April. Oh well. Bummed on the Dark Side |

Paul - So does that mean you will be there for SPLASH? Chris - Mike said you got some pics of Cody on Sunday, if you get a chance post them, I have not had an opportunity to go and actually watch him ride his Polini (of course other than on our street). Kimberlie |

Mike, Hey remember that nut cover? Yeah, well there's a funny story. I'll have to relate it to you sometime. Meanwhile, if anyone sees a piece of round aluminum with a Triumph logo on it, say out in the Columbia Gorge or Corbett somewhere, let me know. Thanks. |
