Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but except for some comments about the oil capacity increase, I haven't seen anything about the other dimensional changes from the '09 to the '010.

1. The overall length has INCREASED from 1996 mm to 2040 mm; which is 44 mm LONGER (1-3/4"). And I expect that measurement is taken at the tyres as they project beyond the bodywork

2. But the wheelbase has SHORTENED by 13mm (1/2"). A wheelbase INCREASE w/b one way to increase overall length (if length measurement is taken at the tyres), but it's gone the opposite way

3. And the drive belt stays the same (both are 145 tooth with 14mm pitch) in '010 as in '09, which would seem incompatible with a wheelbase INCREASE

Of course there are answers for all this, which is why I ask. I wouldn't think the noted change to a new rear swingarm would be the reason as the bike is now LONGER, the wheelbase is SHORTER, and the drive belt is the same

Clear this up for me / us!

Anon.? I'd hate to assume 'typos', rather than KNOW what's true regarding these dimensional deltas.

Red, no doubt facts are certainly better than assuming. I only suggested that maybe there was errors because I remember quite a few published mistakes between the '08 and '09 model year 1125Rs.

I just compared the 09's to the 10's and did not see the difference you are talking about other than a 1 millimeter difference in wheelbase of the metric units, inches are the same.
The differences could be due to the way the measurements are taken in regards to the footnotes.

Looks like they've realised the errors of their ways; that is, corrected the pages. I have printouts that show the deltas I reported, and now the U.S. spec pages on the Buell site are the same for 010 as for 09.

You don't suppose Buell personnel actually READ these postings?!

They do, but they got something like 56 pages of info to go over, with stuff varying from one region to another, so things like a 1203cc XB9 do slip under the radar : )

It's not actually Buell personnel. I'm cutting and pasting and sending screen shots and Charlie is making the changes.

Badweb, and about 4 other websites, are always a valuable source of proofreading.

Always amazes me that having all service manuals, models, the show, the web pages, all the instruction sheets for the new stuff that it even gets done.

There seem to be fewer bugs this year than last.

The XB9X got . . .er, "corrected in the wrong place". Give that another day . . it'll be done tomorrow.
