You have mentioned that several times.
#1 You would receive a TOTAL trade of $4,500 for your '06 Ford and it would then be scrapped. If you think it's only worth $4,500 then go for it.
#2 There is a list of cars that qualify, and I didn't see a Porsche on that list, though there are some pretty cool cars available.
For the record, I have seen a credit score on Transunion for over 850, sadly not mine, however,
850 on the Transunion is not that exceptional. It is also very different from a FICO score. FICO does not go above 850 and is what most lenders use for a credit report.
I'm a bit miffed. I'll now be paying for others to buy new cars when just months ago we traded a clunker, a '94 Ford Exploder, in for a 30+ mpg car. I think I should get in on the entitlement scam too and should get my $4,500. I'm certainly not happy that I'll be paying additional taxes to cover the cost of the CFC program.

The Point I was trying to make is Tax Payer Money going Over Seas Helps the Economy of other Countries. That goes against what this country was built on. The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution of The United States of America.

What Court states is 100% true. GM/Ford do better overseas than here. China is the fastest growing market and is currently the second largest behind the US. I recall GM holds something in the are of 53% of the market share there, and sales are up 77%. They love Buicks.

Be mindful that EVEN WITH overseas sales when American domestic sales dipped General Motors (you know, the one that just went bankrupt and was artificially revived by imploring bondholders to take $0.29 on the dollar and putting in $43,000,000,000 of tax payer dollars) was on the ropes.
If you are a frickin' flag waving All-American . . . write your Congressman and demand that General Motors not be allowed to ship product overseas.

Without China . . . the country that has financed nearly everything the United States has done . . yes, the Chinese have bailed us out . . the same ones who laughed aloud when Secretary Tim Geithner told them "there is no need to worry, the US economy is fine". . . China. . . love them or hate them, holds the mortgage on America. Worse yet is they are loosing faith in the United States Dollar and are making rumblings about changing to another currency.

Unemployment has nothing to do with it. When times were good, the economy was at fever pitch and unemployment was low Americans were buying foreign cars in record numbers . . that's how GM and Chrysler WENT bankrupt over the last 3 years.
Let's just hope we don't get a "stimulus II" we may not be able to survive that.
