Folks! I have run into and optional situation that is messing with my head.  My father-in-law is buying a G-W trike from a builder near my place. My trip to Pa was to be based at their house. It looks like the trike that was supposed to be done this week may be delayed a few days. He is bringing a trailer to tote it home. I offered to ride it up for him, but this is how he wants to do it. I am going to the WVBRIII whether I go to Pa or not. The thing is, my wife is going anyway, her vacation time is set, and wants to take my truck to haul her Blast up there to ride with her brother. I can go with her but, then I would be leaving my in-laws here at our place, wherein, I was going to help check out the newly built trike and help load it and its left over parts for the trip to it's home in Pa. If I wait with them that will make me late for the Pa part of my trip. Ergo, no ride South with Northerners. Also not spending a few days with a bunch of friends I haven't seen in a couple of years. BUT, if I do not go to Pa, Orangulius has stated that he would like to go to WVBRIII with me. If I do go to Pa he will not be going. And I am bugging Ft_bstrd to borrow a bike to tote his girth up there also, thus potentially more Northbound Buell traffic. My Uly is still doing it's flashy/run/skip thing on the Interstates at speed. Otherwise it runs great. With the wife tot'n hers in the truck, I would do the same going to Pa. Then ride around up there, meet other Buellers and ride South. Either way I will likely not be slabbing it much. I also have plenty of work that could be done in a couple extra days of not being on vacation. Hmmmmmm.....what to do?  Of course everything could change by morning! And then there is still a 20% chance the trike will be done in time. Ahhh.....once again.....'here I stand, with my feet planted firmly in mid-air'!  | ||

Nittanyxt, I'm interested in splitting that room with you at the Heritage inn if you still have a slot. I'm trailering down with two friends and they've already paired up at the Heritage. I don't snore... at least not much. Hopefully it will work out, | ||

Vern, ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Sounds like alot to consider, so good luck! None the less, it will be grate to see you there. Me, I'm just hoping our state government passes a budget soon so I can work and get PAID for it; we've been working for no pay since July 1..... | ||

For those of you looking for a hotel... I'm sorry to say the Heritage in is full and so is the Lodge  Parkersburg is about a 30 mile ride and there is a Holiday Inn at 50 & 77 I'm still looking for something closer.... (Message edited by wolfridgerider on August 03, 2009) | ||

Ken, I found some black rubber ones at an autoparts store when one of mine got pinched on re-entry. Just give them a size measurement, it was way less than $6.11 also. | ||

Vern, thanks for the tip. Probably run to Marietta this weekend to pick up the bits (finally got the o-rings for the forks as well...like 20k later). If they don't have them in by then, NAPA it is. J, a ride...sure! if you take it easy on the noob on the backup bike...i'm kinda delicate ya know. Got soup kitchen chores tonight and need to unclog the ac drain but all that should leave tomorrow open... | ||

sweetness! I have to go to be in Parsons at 1530, but I'm planning on riding there. I could meet you after my dr's appt. My cell is 304.680.6520... as long as the weather doesn't suck. Leo works til 1830, so as long as I'm home before midnight, I'm sure he won't care.  Actually, just spoke with the old guy... he said if we go after 7, he's game... Ken and I did a little pre-rally drinking last night at the Fishbowl... Whew! Can't go wrong with half off domestic drafts! SD joined us after he got done with work... All in all, a good night! Hooray for drinking on a Monday! Provisions bought with lots to share with everyone... just need to find a BIG cooler. | ||

I think the have a Ice Machine next to the Ranger Station... about 10 feet from your camping spot. | ||

power outlet... sweet! I won't have to drain the truck battery with the coffee pot and power inverter. Ken, the weather isn't looking promising for a ride tonight. Maybe take a raincheck (no pun intended) until Thursday night? | ||
