What a finish! [race spoiler redacted] (some folks record and watch on Monday, yes?) Looks like he was out of tires as they were really smoking. (Message edited by blake on August 03, 2009) |

DMG/AMA Pro has put together an incredible series. Racing does not get any better than what I just watched. Wow!!! The talent and bravery in this class is deep! |

How could Herrin motocross it thru that gully and still have the wits/balls to come back for second? |

Wow. DOes Superbike just seem agonizing ordinary after watching an epic DSB race like that. Yeah, Superbikes might be 2-3 seconds faster a lap, but does it really matter to anyone? Even the biggest critics of DMG/AMA have to be impressed with the DSB racing. Garry McCoy would be PROUD of Danny with all that smoke pouring off the rear tire late in the race. Now THAT is some cool stuff even Buell critics have to admit to. I can't wait to see some stills of the stepped out, lit up rear. I don't think TV does any justice for what he was doing the last few laps. DAMN, that kid can ride. |

Caution possible spoiler. Hope this will not be a spoiler, and I agree that DSB is the series to watch and enjoy right now. With all of 40 some bikes running and the racing is some of the best I have ever seen. But, how about Taylor Knapp taking a 5th in Superbike Sunday. I do not know if he was on an 1125RR or not though, but probably. He beat out some pretty impressive names in a field of about 22. Now thats just about outstanding. Stayed up late to watch it and even that made Superbike more interesting. Erik must be feeling awful good today after those races even though Danny was just barely beat out for third. Absolutely great racing!!!Go Buell!!!.............and good job AMA. Bob |

Compared to DSB, yes, Superbike seems not as exciting. But AMA Superbike racing still matters though: Shawn Higbee came in 14th and 13th on his double-duty 1125R at Topeka. And Walt Sipp finished 21st & 18th although I don't know if he was riding the 1125R. Does anybody know? GO BUELL RACING! And wasn't it fun watching Pegram out front of all the IL4s both days? |

Thanks Greg, I could not tell that from watching it on TV. I still like AMA racing better then any venue around the world. Grew up with flat track and Springfield mile, was an active member for many years, and I also like where they are going with NASCAR at the helm if I'm correct on that. And Sparky, waiting patiently to see the 1125RR's at New Jersey. You bet, Pegram on the Duc showed them IL4 boys a thing or two. Bob |
