I recently bought a 2000 Cyclone (reactor yellow). I want to remove the decal from the gas tank which warns against overfilling (Can you say Mickey Mouse?). Is this decal clear coated? I don't want to start removing it and find out I screwed up the clear coat finish on the tank. Thanks for your expertise. |

Crank, No its not clear coated. Its just a decal stuck on the tank. Just steal your wifes hair dryer, hit it on high for about a minute and it will peel right off. First thing I did when I bought my first Buell!! |

Comes off nice and clean on a hot sunny summer day, I remember days like that. |

dental floss and goo-gone works great for decal removal. The hot day is bonus. Be careful with a hair dryer. Like BD said, it was my first Buell mod!! Al |
