I think what you're indicating is the breather hose from the heads to the intake. If so, it is carrying excess air volume out of the crankcase and routing it (and the oily mist it carries) to burn up inside the engine. Many people route it to atmosphere instead, possibly to a catch can. |

thanks you very much sportyeric. if routed to a catch can, does the piece on the heads need to be covered? |

no, you route the lines from the head to the catch can, and plug the air cleaner hole |

Search for "catch can" and you'll find its been covered to death. Or just route it to a small filter and let it drip. Or , as I do, just let the hose end under the bike and let it drip. ( I am having second thoughts as to whether it could be sucking up dust into the engine on initial start-up without a filter but I think the umbrella valves should take care of that.) |

The catch can Pegasus Auto Racing sells seems to be a pretty good option. It's not humongous and if you like CNC'd stuff it's pretty neat. Basic container, painted mine black, putting it on right now actually. |

Pretty sure there are proven dyno runs showing a Hypercharger giving the SAME HP as the best of them around here somewhere.... |

imo the hypercharger only looks good when peeking out from the "tank" on an XB. Tubers should be clad in FW's, hamcans, or stock airboxes. |

Ditto on the hypercharger. I have the Force head breather tube to a Pegaus catch can. Some may be better on the Dyno but mine runs pretty darn good and looks good too. |
