I pester your dealer in to ordering the RSS kit for you! I did today after getting back from a 400 ride. Paid for and all. I know I was the first there as he had to go in back and open the parts book box and get one out! He did say he has no idea how long it will take! |

H-Dnet shows the kit as vendor direct, 5 day lead time. Should take less than a week. |

If he ordered it today I wouldn't be surprised to see a Monday or Tuesday delivery. |

What's the part numbers? What's the msrp? Will it bolt up to an 07XB12R? |

I hope so guys as the heat just takes the joy out what should be a nice ride at times. OK it was a 7 hour ride! I don't know if the full kit will fit my STT but the scoop and header cover should, the fan shroud I'll have to see I think there's more room on a Uly so it may not fit. Funny thing is we always hear how long it takes to get parts for a Buell and that the dealers bite. BUT everything I order for my KLR has been backordered...it took over a month to get a shop manual, CityXslicker got my the one for my XB in less than a week when he was still at the H-D shop. Even if it does toast my A$$ at times the Buell is still the ride of choice for me. All I have to do is twist the gas and GRIN!! |

Hexangler Part number for the one I ordered is M1907.1AK Cost $119.95 + tax That's the whole kit, Right side scoop, header cover for the rear pipe. and a new fan shroud. I don't know if it'll fit your bike as this was made for the Uly and I think they use a longer frame than a XB12r. My XB12Stt and the XB12Ss use the same front frame as the Uly (I hope!) so it should bolt up to my bike. I'll check it out at the dealer on a XB9 they have and see if it lines up. OR maybe Court can find out? |

The 3.3 gallons XB's have a different scoop. |

Has anyone tried to physically fit a 'long frame' right side doohicky(it's not REALLY a scoop in it's current form) to a 'shorter' framed XB? |

Doesn't the XB12R and XB12Scg still use the "short" frame? |

Okaaaay, so, the big question is: what made Buell finally decide a RSS works on the XB series after defending the single scoop decision for so long? ~SM |

the new bikes that use the short frame are the xb12r, xb12scg, and the xb9sx. The ulys, and the xb12ss use the long frame. |

Sword, take a look, all XB's have always had a small scoop on the right. |

for the double win, mount it with the bike cage. |
