Hey.I had a bad day and Eric is the only one i consider insulting.I mean, normally i'm not the kind to hurl the "gay" word or poke and prod.
As adults i find it distastefull to constantly see the gay comments as well as the poking and proding.
I'm actually rooting for his racing persutes. But as a hot-rodder,i'm still waiting for the "Painkiller Cycles" crowning achievement.
We're Buell enthusiasts FIRST at my house. The other bike was an excercize in "what if" money were no object. It's like the hand of God pushing me now. "Cwaaaazy overpowered" and i like that as a hot-rodder.
But my X1 rules the roost.
Jp,that's life, and relationships require effort and never are always "smooth sailing"
We did come in last as amatures. Our skipper is a 40 year veteran who owns the 35 footer. Invited to attend every Tuesday and it's FREE!
Eric, you know i'd be THRILLED (read:THRILLED) to ride with you.Even considering it's a Honda.Yeah,i was rash, and DO admire ALL competetive machinery.
On to new things: So I was shopping around for a right side scoop and PM'd Al, The Master of All Things Buell, regarding pricing and availability. He informed me that the 2010 models now come with withan RSS, standard. I've got mine on order with Tripp: $119.95. MUCH less than the $250 aftermarket jobs, and a much more palatable price considering that I'm going to have to Dremel the piss out of it to make it fit around the Micron headers.
So if you've been listening to everyone preach the virtues of the RSS, now you can pick one up on the cheap. And you won't have to paint it.
P.S. What's the fickin' deal this weekend? You alive out there, Nate? Shall we go south and shoot the Barn loop?
The last straw for me was YOU calling the shop I work at and whining like a tool bag to him/ TRYING to toss me under the bus...
There you go distorting the facts.
The conversation took place in person.Right after you advertised here you were going in the biz after being taught by Pete at GMD how to work on forks.I'd posted i was going to use GMD when YOU QUIPPED you'd be wrenching my forks anyways.
I'll NOT be squeezed by the ball$$ like that
They're MY forks and i'll specify HOW they'll be worked on by WHOEVER i choose. I told PETE YOU WERE NOT to wrench my forks. I'll NOT be squeezed by the ball$.
After seeing your tire "bead breaker" i KNEW you were a "vice-grip" type "Penny-ante" operation and do not want that workmanship.
Anyone else notice Casey's forks on the last ride? "penny-ante"
This has been a cool board to be part of. The miserableness lately is too much.
In person..On the phone is there really a difference? what ever I could care less what you do or say. My record is clear with all who know me there.. You are more than right that you can have anyone you want work on your stuff..... It was ALL THE OTHER INFO that was not called for that you spilled...May as well stab me in the back BUDDY!.
Calling where some one works and bad mouthing them cause we had a "Falling out" is just poor judgment on your part... Want to see how it feels there sunshine? I have no problem calling and asking for your boss so we could chat.... be interesting wouldn't it...
For not wanting my workmanship with my "Bead Breaker" you sure did pressure me to do your tires.... I tried not to even get involved with you then, said you could borrow my tools, and yet I still did them (multiple times)... Were your rims damaged in any way, shape, or form? I am sure the dealership would have done better...Just ask Torque how his came out..
And if Casey's forks are leaking they are bent, he knows this, he crashed them. I took out as much pitting as I could on the tubes, I will gladly change the seals again at no charge but it will happen again, and again, and again until they get straightened... I can get this done at the shop should he choose to have it done.
Has nothing to do with me or the parts ya dip shit...
You reaching for anything you can to stay afloat here aren't you.... Twist the facts all you want.... I don't really care at this point Greg....
No need to reply, it makes no difference to me... Those who know me know I will help anyway I can here... You offer help but never do it. That is the difference between me and you.
I call it like I see it, no beating around the bush for me...
BYE BYE!
Sorry to the guys here to yet AGAIN have to deal with the soap opera affairs of me and the princess...
Not taking sides, and I dont know you Greg but... Eric was willing to help me out changing my tire and I hadn't even met him. To me that says a lot, that he is willing to help out a fellow biker in need.
Just giving my perception even though I know I dont have all the facts..... sorry to get involved but I was going thru posting withdrawals... LOL
This seems like more than "internet crap" I will be out of the way now. keep firing!
Anyways.....i guess nobody wanted to take me up on my offer to ride NH for the weekend? thats cool. I'll be headed north toward Meredith in the a.m., i've got an appointment for some new ink @12. Not sure if i'll make it down south on sunday, but i'll let ya know. be safe out there. if anyone decides to enjoy the day up here give me a ring i'll have my phone on 603-234-0272.
It was much more fun watching this from the sidelines but now that my name in, I feel the need to speak up in erics defense the fork has a dent a small dent in it. I realize this in no way was this because of Erics work...
Gregg It has been great riding with you some really incredible routes.
Eric I would have liked to have had the opurtunity to ride with you street or track. There is just no way that I could justify the track investment at this time.
With all that being said I will gracefully back off the the field as the bike is already in FL. Where I was told i live near "some of the best riding in the state" I looked at the map and started tearing up I am sure i will find a few good long sweepers that I can enjoy.
As for the fork I will buy a new one someday when the little lady and i can afford to splurge in the mean time the oil spraying onto my leg tells me it isnt empty yet
oh and Nate did you ever get a Buell lock if not PM me and I will mail you one as soon as I hit the Sunshine state.
I'm thinking I'll head for Carl's tomorrow morning... 9am. I've got a couple of the loops (with & without the Scituate Reservoir run) on GPS. And I've got the road the crazy bitch chased Tat & me on: Round Hill Road in N Smithfield. I remember it being pretty twisty, or maybe that's just because a psycho PMS case was trying to run us down.
Had an amazing solo ride today in the lakes region. Also squeezed in the completion of my newest baby's (Julianna Rose) tattoo. can't really ask for anything better in one day.
this morning
now
I had the rose done last november before she was born, but waited to have the name done, until she was here....just in case
