The latest issue of Fast Bikes available at Barnes and Noble now has a seven naked bike shootout. included are the 1125CR, Monster 1100S, Super Duke, Speed Triple, Tuono R, Brutale 910, and some Moto Morini. The article was very critical of the Buell, only complementing it for the spec sheet and said if you really had to have one, get it with the P and A bars (aka Lightning bars). Reading the test results it looked like it tested better than they gave it credit. generally it placed mid pack on most tests, I think it tested best hp and I think it only ran dead last in one test, but the gave the bike a dead last finish and stated it did not belong in this group because it was sub par on all levels and "fugly". Now i have ridden the 1125CR on many occassions and the KTM RC8 and the Super Duke at Suchess at I thought the 1125CR has earned it right to fight for the title. |

Im telling you all Buell needs to do is make those pods with flat panels so it matches the frame. It would be tits. |

Yea... I read that as well. They said the Buell was slow, when it had like the second quickest 0-100 time. They pretty much said it was underpowered. Even with second highest Hp on their dyno chart. Funny in the text they list the Buell at 120 or so HP (from the dyno) and then they quote 180 hp (obviously from a spec sheet) for one of the other bikes they were glowing over. Interestingly when talking about the Ducati (84 hp) hp wasn't an issue. They wrote about the front brake and how it made the bike stand up and run wide when trail braking. They also said the standard crup about the cheapo looking switches etc etc. You can tell they really went out of their way to piss on the Buell. Pretty much the standard garbage that has coming from the UK press. |

Pity, I'd love to see a good, balanced comparison of all those bikes. There is a positive road test of the 1125CR in the latest Australian Motorcycle News. The writer liked that it wasn't detuned from the 1125R, he really like the engine! |

I think the gearing on the CR is much better than the R. |

180 hp (obviously from a spec sheet) I saw that too but in he chart next to that quote was the spec sheet showing 118 hp. I believe that just to be a typo |

"The CR is ugly? Did they LOOK at the Tuono?" Along the same lines as the CR, color means everything. In all black, the Tuono is very hot imo.

Along the same lines as the CR, color means everything. In all black, the Tuono is very hot imo. Definitely a grand improvement but all of those sharp angles and contours drive me nuts!! But that is the theme with 99% of bikes with bodywork these days. I thought I was too young to be "old fashioned"! Oh well, got to go, Rin Tin Tin is coming on the radio soon. |

Black is better, looks heaps better than the first Tuono's, but still looks unfinished to me. I think they took the streetfighter="bin the fairing, add motocross bars" a little too literally! |

Actually... the black with blue wheels looks pretty cool... I think it's finally growing on me... |
