Vern (and anyone else in the path of WNC and WVA), I can't sign on for Roll Call yet, as there is a chance I have to fly out for work that Saturday. I should know this Fri. It's 50/50. If I can go (and I want to!), keep me in mind if your route is anything at all like last year with Carlos and Webe. I though meeting in southern VA and going up 16 was a great ride, but am open to anything if it is not ridiculously out of the way. Mark - I sure hope I can make it again. had a great time last year (though I apparently don't recall all the same events that Vern does)! Your parents rock! | ||

I hope Webe can make it! I just talked to Dad and said I was coming early.... With a laugh, He told my reservation wasn't until Friday.... lol He also informed me that I will also be pulling grill duty on Saturday.... I'm pretty sure its brats and dogs for Saturday + what ever is left over from Friday. | ||

Ken, does that mean you are holding out some hope of showing up for the evening camping festivities? I sure hope so! Jim, if plans go right, I will be entering from the North this trip. That sure was a great ride with Carlos and Webe up 16 last year. | ||

Hypno! I almost wrecked when I was tooling down to Snowshoe with a friend earlier this summer. I had not realized they moved and let the nose do the steering...  gawd...now you have me jonesin' for a cup of coffee...BTW I aim to be there Vern! | ||

Ever since you sent the beer run video that is all I have heard from Todd. We went to see his grandmother and out of the blue he starts on that song again. Then him and a guy at work sung it all day today. He loves it. | ||

Just called Joann again at the Cokely Campground... she hasn't heard from the Boy Scouts yet.... She said she was going to call them 1 more time and tell them they HAVE to put a deposit down.... if she doesn't hear back from them by tomorrow.... IT OURS!! Otherwise it will be first come first serve at the River Run Campground. I think she had fun with us last year! | ||

You could put an add in the local paper that states that a stripper tent camping convention will be there that weekend. Not that they wouldn't like having the ladies there, just that most of them would be scared out of their wits at having girls over fifteen near by!   Or have times changed that much since I was a Scout?   Ahhhh.....  .....never mind, they would probably just gear up with dollar bills and VISA cards! | ||

what time does the ride leave on saturday? And where from? I will end leaving that morning and meeting everyone there. Staying the night and heading back sometime sunday. | ||

We will eat breakfast then hit the gas station and head out. | ||

I'm putting the finishing touches on the "crap to bring" list so I can hit Sam's club next week... surprisingly,its mostly adult beverages...and some snacks. Anyone need anything, lemme know! btw, wolfy, I have a fresh, new pair of leathers being shipped to the house... too bad that won't take care of what's under em!
