Hey,
I have questioned before about my clutch grabbing high. The dealer checked it out and said it was normal.
So, I snapped my belt a lil over 8k miles and had warranty take care of it. I didn't abuse it, just broke. So, while picking up my bike the service guy mentioned about the clutch feeling high to him, he said he'd look into it.
Has anyone found a way to adjust the clutch? Does anyone else find that it grabs high?

Thanks,
Nivek

All hydraulic clutch's feel this way. Nuthin you can do that I've heard of except mess with the handles pivot.

That's why I prefer cable activated.
Yea the cables break sometimes.
But they don't leak
They don't have to be bled
They CAN be adjusted to the drivers preference.

Nivek:
It wasn't the "high" clutch that caused your belt breakage. Since the H-D/ Buell Techs don't get to feel too many Hyd clutches, it does feel different.

Get used to it. Compared to my XB or S2 or X3 or S3, it's waaaay nicer. Before the 1125 series, everyone was whinning about clutch pull too hard, inconsistant, needed adjusting.............

Find anything else out about your belt?

+1 Ccryder, I took my non-cubed-Blast for a spin for the first time since getting my Lobster a week ago, and I stalled it taking off in my driveway, got stuck in neutral upshifting, grinded it a little going into second, then I did a hard downshift into first and the ass end got all squirmy. I need a hydraulic and slipper clutch for everything now!

Nivek,

For science, would you do something for us?

Take off your belt guards and take pictures of the INSIDES of them -- the part that faces the belt.

What were you doing when the belt snapped?
