70% grey. helvetica. make another layer, duplicate type, raterize, motion blur and then offset the blur layer to the right. Put it on a distressed grid and crop agressively. |

Tell you what I see in that picture...I see a guy that most likely worked his butt off, didnt get enough sleep and went without in order to be there. I keep hearing all about HTFU..That guy has. I don't see a Million dollar pit setup. Or umbrella girls. Or reports jammed in on all sides... I see a RACER...the real, pull himself up by the bootstraps kinda guy...a guy that nobody knows outside his group of friends and family...just a racer...the real kind that shows up on any Sunday. Anonymous...the very foundation of racing. That could be a dragbike, or a Bonneville bike, or a Shorttracker, or a Motocrosser, or any other form of bike...Could be You...could be me...got the passion to be in his boots? If we are so gung ho about racing, why is Buell not in the World GP? I'm just afraid the BOB keeps talking about sitting not being a sport (in reference to the Japanese counterparts of course), yet it is those bikes that tear up the tarmacs on GP. Where is Buell? We better be careful about the BoB message as I've already been receiving sarcastic comments at work as in "When your Buell bikes finally make the GP and take on the Japanese bikes, then we might believe the BoB and start giving you some respect" Of course I have to stand by my bike and I just flip them the finger and tell them I don't give a damn..in Bob fashion....LOL! |

I didn't mean to take anything away from the pictured racer. I just thought it was delightfully ironic that the website's slideshow, which so eloquently stated that "Sitting is not a sport," also pictured a racer... sitting. I got a good laugh out of it anyway. YMMV. |

I think the "sitting" was ON the bike. THIS is sitting:

I'd wave at her while riding my Buell even though she's riding a stretched Hayabusa with neon lights... |

From a product perspective: This "book" indicates Buell's longe-range plans involve introducing products that have high levels of performance. From a marketing and image perspective . . . who really gives a s***. I ride a bike, not a marketing brochure. I've never done a burn-out to draw a smiley face on the pavement and I'll continue waving if I feel like it. |

I feel like the guy that put his spouse through med school. I was willing to do some extra tasks and put up with some headaches but felt it was worth it to make some sacrifices for the greater good. I saw we were drifting away, but believed that it was only for the short term and eventually we would have shared goals again. I was proud of the development and felt like I was a part of it. Now graduation has come, and I hear I'm no longer good enough - I sit, I wave, I enjoy conversation with others. Honestly, I'm hurt. I thought about ridding the household of anything related to her. But I've come to realize that we really are different now. I can enjoy time together for a short while, but we're not really suited for a long term relationship. At least I no longer have to feel guilty about looking at others. Who knows, I might even try riding a few! I've accepted that I'm happy with what she was, but no longer have any emotional ties to her future. Good Luck, Buell! and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out... |

Oh the f'ing drama. I really can't believe some of the crap I am reading. Med school analogy, that's the topper. I think you need to watch out for the door as opposed to the other way around. (Message edited by fresnobuell on July 28, 2009) |
