Sight glass gets my fancy. I've never been a big fan of them on the old Jap bikes, but this one looks like it'll work nicely. Wonder what it would take to install on the 08. If it's even possible without a new cover. |

Looks like the only difference I can see between the fairing on the AMA pace bike and the new ABS side fairings is that the bottom of the ABS panels doesn't trail back as far on the bike on the bottom edge. Looks like if a person were creative enough with some fiberglass a bellypan would be pretty easy to attach?!? |

I'm not a fan of full bodywork but anything to cover up the radiator pods is an improvement. |

The LED light looks neat, but I'd really like to see one turned on. I have a good feeling it's not gonna be very bright. Well atleast compared to my lights, haha! But I'm willing to bet it will be a drop in retro-fit for all 03 and up bikes ( excluding Uly ) I need to get one for comparison shots to post up. I'm sure my business will drop greatly, but atleast they don't have integrated signals :-) I do personally think they are focusing on racing a bit too much and left us street guys wanting more this year. But, maybe something good next year ?!?! For now, I'm glad I have my 03! -Robert www.xblights.com |

Would have killed anyone to just give us who want it the full fairing that is on the AMA Pace bike???????? A half a fairing does not a full fairing make. I am not apposed to the "Naked look I like the CR but Buell is marketing the 1125R as a "Super Bike" like it or not that implies "Race Replica" appearance and performance. We have the best bike on the American market in my opinion for real riders good power reliability, handling and even sound. But we are pissing away allot of potential business and new riders because we cannot seem to get a full fairing from the factory! (See AMA Pace Bike). When riders see Dany Eslick beat the crap out of the ricers and they finally go down to the local Harley shop to have a look at the bike he is riding (they are told by us that Danny`s bike is real close to what they can buy) they get let down because the bike does not exsist! I know that many of you will want to beat on me because we Buell riders like to be different I own a 12R the definition of different Buell still needs to sell all the 1125R`s they can. I know for a fact that many dealerships have a problem moving 1125R`s because of the apperance. What is it going to take to get the bike you use in the AMA pace job?????? frustrated Bueller |

ponti1, i have a bit of knowledge with leds and such. i would guess that unit would be plug and play. they would be able to run those leds on 12volts with just a couple resistors. |

Oh I'm sure all the LEDs are current regulated with an actual regulator. That's the best way to do it and how I do all mine. Using just resistors to regulate it is a crappy way to go. Also after thinking about it. This year is actually a good year for them to focus on racing over street. They have fine tuned the XBs very well. We know those are tried and true. It's the 3rd year for 1125's. So there dwindling those bugs down. So they have a group of bad ass bikes that have proven themselves very well! so why not take a year and get there racing going just as well! First I thought it was stupid, but after thinking it over, kinda smart on there end |

hey, you should diagnose the problem with the rear turnsignals on the 1125r... im tired of loosing my bike for a day so they can replace them when i could do it in 5minutes if they just give the parts. |

Avc8130 Posted on Monday, July 27, 2009 - 09:15 pm: I find it interesting that after all the troubles with the LED turns they went to bulb...and then went to LED on the tail! I truly hope they have the LED turns on the 08/09 sorted...this transition to bulb makes me leary. Hopefully the LED tails will prove reliable, because that would be a nice retrofit. ___________________________________________ I'll save FresNObuell the trouble "There is no turn signal issue, this was addressed proactively by Buell a loooonnnggg time ago. Still torn on the fairing, I'm sure western reserve will get one and mount it soon after they're available. I'll hold my judgement til then. Thanks for the recon work zac. |

I'm not sure, It looks good and is like the pace bike (right over the pods), but without a belly pan it just looks incomplete. If there is a flat lip on the bottom maybe the belly pan can attach. I hope someone gets one soon and can test it out. I would not hesitate to get it if the belly pan can be attached. too bad I'm broke or I would order one and the belly pan and be a guinea pig. BETTER LOOKS MEAN MORE SALES MEAN A NEW FACTORY AND BETTER ENGINEERING. BLOW AND A RETROFIT WOULDA BEEN SO EASY. Really? Would it? Why don't you go ahead and do all the engineering work in AutoCAD and then post it here for everyone to review? You should be done by this time tomorrow right? |

Sorry, I just lose patience with posts like that. The pods are not going away. Completely redesigning the bike is not "easy" either. |

"There is no turn signal issue, this was addressed proactively by Buell a loooonnnggg time ago. The verified fact is that the does have a Rev.B on the turn signals. It's pure opinion on whether BMC should have replaced ALL of the turn signals on the street or let them be replaced as they fail. I can tell you that I have had the same turn signals since the Fall. No problems. So, you are sure the reason they moved away from the LED turn signals is because they just couldn't get a trustworthy quality control from a supplier? Please give your source. How about this possibility--BMC moved to conventional bulbs to offset some of the the cost of the new LED taillight? If LEDs sourcing is such a liability, why the move to a LED tail light? |

I personally have no source about the transfer from LED to bulb on the signals. I have "Rev D" signals on my bike and I have not seen a failure *knock on wood*. I did lose a little confidence in them since Buell switched to the bulb for 2010. LED signals (especially when they are already designed) would make a good pair to the LED tail lights. Hopefully Buell switched for some other reason. I will keep my 08/09 signals as long as possible. I think they look better. Now that tail light is sweet. I love the oil sight glass, but I looked at my 08, I don't think it will be retrofitable cheaply. With the vacuum clutch cover it has to be part of the whole side cover. Those are probably expensive and a lot of work to swayp. I am not a fan of the side fairings. I don't like how you can see the pods under them from the back. I think Buell made a wise decision for 2010. Continue to sort this bike out. It is an awesome ride. Buell has been on top of sorting through it. ac |

Ok there is now a sight glass. A) Only on the 10'. B) I'll bet it's still a relative PITA to check because of timing, bike orientation etc. C) Some would probably want a digital display showing the oil level and a poke in the 'nads when it gets low! JK At least they are improving the "breed"! Evolution is a wonderful concept! Later Neil S. |
