For those of us interested in the body work, the dipstick will still be easier than removing th body work to look thru the glass. | ||

Cool show, couldn't stay long but it was well worth the trip. Got some good schwag from BMC and Michelin. Asked the Michelin rep about tires and he shrugged... "I'm a Bagger guy.." First thing to catch my eye was the new tail lights.   I still like my lights from XBLights  The new ABS Fairing looks GREAT, goes right over the Pods and connects front-center.      You can see in the right side lower is a heat pad on the inside of the plastic.  And here's my shot of the sight-glass.  Would have had more but the Lithiums started to die, so I killed the flash... big mistake. Z | ||

I find it interesting that after all the troubles with the LED turns they went to bulb...and then went to LED on the tail! I truly hope they have the LED turns on the 08/09 sorted...this transition to bulb makes me leary. Hopefully the LED tails will prove reliable, because that would be a nice retrofit. ac | ||

I am all about adding the LED tail light, but will go aftermarket (kellerman (sp?) maybe) if I need a replacement can no longer get the LED units. The bulb unit is nice, but looks less "trick" to me. Anyone familiar with LED versus bulb conversions know if this LED tail light will require some sort of altering the power source to work on the '08-'09 models? | ||

I suspect the lack of a bellypan to go with the street fairing hinges on cooling and fit. No room at the back of the OEM muffler. but I don't have an OEM muffler. Short answer - sure. You can hook anything to anything with some skill and determination. The bottom edge of the fairing seems to have a lip, so maybe.?.? I can't even think about the fairing until I pay Ray for the Drummer.  Z | ||

I just lost all respect for Buell AS A CEO. WOW. He put no thought into a revised look. He must not care about selling bikes. Pods are still under the fairing. No belly pan. Poor ventilation. BETTER LOOKS MEAN MORE SALES MEAN A NEW FACTORY AND BETTER ENGINEERING. BLOW AND A RETROFIT WOULDA BEEN SO EASY. | ||
