I don't need (or want) a lesson on the workings of the ECU/ECM or how it reads the AFV - I just need to know if there is an easy way to keep my AFV at 112% (ECMspy 2 maybe?) or maybe how to "trick" it into thinking its at 100% when its really at 112% The reason I ask, is that with the AFV @ 112% I can pull away at 1,200 RPM or so – and at 100% I need to get it up to 2,000 RPM to pull away smoothly, otherwise its rough. The rest of the fuel map is fine (tuned it for my wired-open muffler), and it runs really good otherwise. Thanks John H. |

John your question is riddled with a Catch 22 answer. So I will try to answer without telling you why it wants the AFV at 112%. The easy answer is that the bike is lean in closed loop and the extra 12% that is added globally corrects a lean condition in open loop at WOT. So here is what you can do, buy or get a map for your configuration, or by using ECM Spy reset AFV to 112 and turn off the 02 sensor. But understand it takes us several hours in the Dyno to find and correct all the lean or rich cells to make it run correctly and maintain the AFV @ 100%. hope I didn't lecture too much, good luck Terry - www.jtsperformance.com |

ECM Spy has a tab, "ECM-Config". There one can change rich, mid, and lean voltage values. I don't know what effect(s) changes produce. |

Since I don't have a dealer anywhere near me(that I can trust to do the job correctly, or is familiar with Buell), is there a dealer or shop someone can recommend that I can send just my ECU to have it recalibrated and purchase the kit from? I am thinking of the movie, Apocalypse Now, Marlon Brando "The Horror, the horror" What a waste of opportunity that I even need to post a question like this, that I don't have a dealership even near me in Lansing, MI. |

TTT I mean it, who is out there that can do this? In the old days I could just send it to Daves and could rest assured that it would be done correctly. |
