Anybody know how to replace the CPS in a 2001 X1???. I removed the nose cone, and started to take the side off, untill oil came out, then stopped. I'm hoping there's a better way to do this. |

If by "nose cone" you mean the gearcase cover, there's no need to remove it, and if you do so without first removing the pressure from the valve-train, you risk damaging the cam bushings. Bottom line is that you really need a service manual. |
