If I have to choose something "off the shelf" it would be a SCG with a few mods... but that is still not what I would WANT. What I WANT...is a large bore thumper...under 275 pounds with at least 60hp, very good fully adjustable suspension, excellent brakes, fitted with wheels and tires of suitable size to have serious grip...oh...and a killer chassis. A "street fighter" or hard core Cafe' bike with attitude and the means to back it up. NOT a dirt bike with street tires...a real by gosh street bike. I had been hoping to see Buell introduce something along those lines...but it looks like that isn't going to happen. Shame. I love my Blast if I keep it's intent in mind. It was not meant to be a mini XB...It LOOKS like a Buell, and I get a lot of good comments from strangers about what I have done to it, and how well it works on some at times very spirited rides... but is seriously short of ideal in the suspension department...there is no wide variety of really good tires and it is not possible to make serious dependable long living power from the motor...hand grenades are fine for racing, but I want relatively dependable...yah know?...shame...it has a very strong transmission.. Anyway...I digress. |

I just finished watching Long Way Round, so I'd have to take the BMW R 1200 GS Adventure.

Wow Glitch I can actually tolerate the pods on that 1125S. Exhaust is badass too. Looks like they have a wave rotor on the rear but not on front. Front wave rotors are badass... |

If I had no particular place to go and didn't have to go too far to get there,I would really like to have one of those jet powered bikes(Leno has one). I saw, and heard one in Daytona a couple of years back. Nothing but awesomness from the start up. Next up would be a new Gold Wing(I know). In either case I would have to keep my Uly and my XL250. |

Glitch- where did you find that bike? Is that photo shopped? I've been trying to see modded out cr's and well, that bike surpassed everything I dreamed of!!! Very nice- infact I'll start saving now. By the time I'm 40, I can buy one. Oh, if you couldnt tell- my answer to the thread is that bike ^ !!!! |

Incredible! I love the sound of those things firing up in places you don't expect a jet to be. One went by me in a parking lot in Daytona in '05, he was close enough that at about five mph as he passed the handles on my bag of T shirts melted to where the bag drug the ground! Freek'en Awesome! Have you ridden one? I know from your posts a couple years ago you helped build these. |

yep, all of them. its funny to take on of them through a bike night. everyone comes wandering over and you tell them not to walk behind it. so the first thing they do is just that. it burns a persons leg hair off REAL fast from a ways away lol. heres a crudy vid of the one i built firing up the first time. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids. individual&videoid=327790 |
