Does anyone know if the firebolt saddle bags and tail bag will fit the 25r? If not can it be made to fit? If not what wil it take to make them work? Someone can sell me brand new ones for 150. If not I was going to use the coretech set but its a bit more. But there universal. I need to know ASAP thanks Chris |

I posted on the classified ad, but I'll post here in case you don't see it there. The tail bag with fit with no issues. The saddle bags will not. The bracket for the saddlebags attaches to the underside of the tail section - the plastic pan the frame inside it are different on the 1125 than the Firebolt. |

Anyone? Also the tail bags only look as big as the rear seat. Is that true? For 150 bucks would I be better off going a diff route? |

Which bags are they ? If they're the latest ones: http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/produc t.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=4&CategoryID=4&Produ ctID=4252 then they will fit either ! |

As long as it's the larger ones sportster mann posted, they'll work fine. I've got that set up with the larger tail bag also in the garage right now. Never used the saddle bags since I put them on in the dealer parking lot and rode home, but I got em. |

If you're handy with metal fab, you could make that bracket work I'm sure. |

So, you talking about these ? http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/produc t.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=4&CategoryID=4&Produ ctID=2225 I didn't think you meant them as they are only $159.95 retail - so $150 didn't seem much of a good deal ... |

I think the $150 included the tail bag. |

Rockstar, Since you're in a bit of a bind and local, I'd be willing to sell ya the saddle bags, but I wanna keep the tail bag. Come pick em up, dust em off yourself and you can have em for $175. Pm me if you're interested. |

One thing to keep in mind is the bags I have are much bigger than the firebolt only models. If you order the tail bag that goes with the bags I have, you'll be able to haul a lot of crap down to wv. Lemme know what you want to do, they aren't going anywhere. |

Rock - the bags Bad wants to sell you will EASILY hold MUCH more than the Firebolt saddlebags WITH the tailbag. I don't think you're appreciating just how small the Firebolt bags are. I don't think anyone has tried to make them work on an 1125, at least not that I'm aware of. Do you know how they mount up? There's a flimsly sheetmetal bracket that bolts to the underside of the tail with ears on either side the slip into pockets on the outside of the bags (the side that faces inward). These ears start just below where they bolt to the tail, so since the 1125 tail is lower on the bottom, you'd have to modify or make a new bracket. I think for the extra $25, you'd be better off with the bigger bags. |

Xl1200r is right rockstar, you'll be very disapointed in the size of those firebolt bags. It's cool if you don't want mine, but you don't want those firebolt bags, too small for what you want to do. The $150 offer still stands. |

i think your all right. i just dont know what kind of tail bag i can get to fit with bens bags. i dont have enought $ to go buy the buell tail bag from the dealer. can someone tell me what the difference between 600 denier polyester vs 1680 denier nylon is. i know the higher the denier the thicker the materal is. |
