Because I finally located a local dyno operator who was willing to tackle ecmspy, I then took delivery of a bit of related software that I bought on eBay. And it was the process of getting the correct software (first fetching the eeprom) that led to the discovery that my 09 1125 was delivered in early December 08 with '11Z firmware, and had not been updated to the '12Z firmware normally found on 09s. This despite it having completed two scheduled services, in December 08 and then April 09. And I say 'despite' because I'm told that the flashes subsequent to mine include August and December dates. I received no notices either from the selling dealer nor H-D's operations here. Many thanks, then, to that eBay seller for making me aware. I took my 09 into a different dealer and had it updated to the latest firmware, which indeed ended in '12Z and which ecmspy calls BUEZD0P0. The dyno confirms a substantial improvement in fueling above 5000 rpm at all throttle openings; still quite lean under that. HP increase by 2, but that could've been "on the day". |

So Redscuell, did you get the full-on performance map software that allows direct changes between stock maps and the performance setting, or did you get the less expensive option where you start with the stock maps and have to modify them yourself? |

Nah, this guy has gone beyond burning bridges here IMO. If you don't know to what I am referring, you haven't been here long. |

I didn't know it was evil to try to improve the performance of my Buell? How can a download cause such consternation? Sorry for not being here that long... just since I bought my 1125R... wana bring me up to date? |

Fresno's up to her old tricks again. No, the dealer did not lower the seat for me. BUT I DID; I removed a full 3" in seat height. Have a look at the thread about custom 1125s, where I've posted a pic of my bike; or at my profile. I can flat-foot my bike around the garage now; no more tippy-toe. In all I've made 15 improvements to my 09 1125R, including installing the touring Zero windscreen and adding a third outlet pipe to my stock muffler. Commute comfort is UP, and hp and torque are UP (10 each), too. People don't have to be here long to know that my postings are reasonable, and fresno's are UNreasonable. |
