What can I do to up the performance of my S2? Everything on it is bone stock including the air filter. I'm planning on putting a high performance filter on it soon and possibly a Kuryakyn Hypercharger Pro-R to give it a little flash. Does Harley/Screamin' Eagle still offer hotter cams for the S2? Is there anything else you guys can think of? Links would be helpful. |

It depends on how fast you want to go. Money = speed. I have one with XB Heads, S1 cams, high flow air filter. It does ok. If you want to trade anything let me know. I want to bring it back to stock. Check with some performance shops that do that kind of work and some of the sponsors on this site. I am sending you a pm. Frank |

The best performance mod is to tighten up the nut that connects the handle bar to the seat |

Already LOL I have owned a Buell since 2000 I sat on an S2 in 96 when I was 16 and wanted it then. I went to purchase a used one as soon as I turned 18 but couldn't get a Loan. In fact the reason I got MJ was cause there were no used S2's available at the time The S2 was my first true motorcycle love and now I have one all is nirvana... |

Put on a Thunderstorm top end. Makes a big difference. If you want more, throw in a set of cams. As far as the Hypercharger, ugly as hell and a performance killer... The stock ham can is a real good performer, replace the stock backing plate with the billet version from American Sport Bike and your all set. |

Note that the XB heads that Frank is offering are slightly better than the Thunderstorm heads Bluzm2 mentioned. I believe that the XBs have more potential when $$$ are added. With that in mind, I think that the Thunderstorm heads are a better value. If you pass on Frank's offer than Frank and I need to talk... If you upgrade the heads and cams, pm me for a couple of minor lessons learned. Once again, Ebutch has a cool pic. |

I did thunderstorm heads and pistons on my S2, with X1 cams and S1 race ignition module, jetted the carb to match and put on a Buell race muffler. Love it. Not too much...not too slow...it's goldilocks - Just Right |

I went with a NRHS 1250 kit, thunderstorm heads, stage 2 porting, cams, HSR42 Mikuni, Barnett Clutch, forcewinder, and V&H exhaust. 104 RWHP. 29,000 miles, and still grinning! |

I think they are .536? I can never remember technical stuff like that, due to my sometimers... My Dyno is posted on the NRHS site with all the info, I believe it has the cams on there also... |
