So I'm planning on raising the rear of my bike to do some work with a come along attached to a brace I have installed in the rafters of my garage that was used for some other projects. I was wondering if anyone has an idea of how to stabilize the front of the bike so she doesn't tip. I don't have the cash to buy a stand at the moment. I was thinking of using cinder blocks or maybe building something from wood. Any Ideas guys ![: )](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/clipart/happy.gif) |

build a wooden version of a wheel chock. look some up on google for ideas. there was a cool post two weeks ago by a guy who built a tire changing station in his garage using 2x4s and the wall stud....very inventive. go to it, see what you can do. post results, please |

I use a large ratchet tie down type thing with heavy duty seat belt stuff. I just pass it under the frame behind the rear cylinder and it lifts the bike up no probs. Dont need anything to stop the bike falling over front or rear. |

Yup, but just do it in the rear.
