While riding today I had the check engine light come, so I pulled over to get the code. This is code that was in diag. mode ---ACT INT SYR ERR--- I looked in my service manual and it doesn't have the codes in it. Does anybody know what that code means. Thanks |

did you notice the bike "shut off" while trying to go WFO at ~5krpm in third gear? You just saw the effect of "the 'Noid". It's a solenoid connected to the throttle to pass EPA noise restrictions. It can be removed, do a search for "'noid" Zack |

If the "act int sys err" code is present my guess is that he did not experience the effect of the noid as the code indicates that it's inop. Removing it won't do anything for the check engine light except to make it continue to appear from time to time. On the bright side i'd say there are more than a few of us with that code stored in the ecm and it's really nothing to worry about. By the way, is the solenoid already off your bike? If so there's the cause for your light. |

I took the solenoid off a couple hundred miles ago. That is probably the cause then. Do you know what the code means? (Message edited by 2thepoint on July 19, 2009) |

The ecm is looking for voltage/signal on that circuit and it doesn't see it, so it throws a code. The $6 resistor stops most (if not all) of this error. |

Btw, ---ACT INT SYS ERR--- equals active intake system error. |
