Xb12Ss with 32xx miles, all services and running great. I went to start the motorcycle yesterday, flipped the key switch and noticed that my check engine light did not come on and the fuel pump did not run at key on...pressed the starter button, and nothing...not a click. The bike was in Neutral with the side stand down. Battery voltage at the terminals was 12.7 vdc. Grounds tested good, all fuses are good...starter relay?

Nope. Bad relay would still give you some electrics happening. Probably igntion switch, which isn't hard to hot-wire past if you disconnect the connector as the wiring comes out of the switch. |

Pitbullss - this post over on Big, Bad 'n Dirty covers a couple of variations of ignition switch failure as well as how to pull it out etc. I did put in a comment on which wire is connected to what on the electrical connector for the ignition switch in this post so that might help you with bypassing it? http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/469719.html?1245280968 |
