we were throwing around the idea of putting an old cherry bomb on a triumph bonneville. I cant imagine they sell many of them, however they are a staple at every autoparts store. |

A cherry bomb would be neat to try. I haven't seen one on a Buell yet. And FYI, your English is much better than most people's on this board! |

It seems like all the aftermarket mufflers are perforated core with wrapping just like a cherry bomb. The differences are volume and number and placement of outlets. Im no expert but Iam thinking if you want higher louder sound get the smallest, least volume muffler. For deeper sounds get the biggest. |

if you want loud, get rid of the muffler!!!! i have never heard a louder bike than mine......ever!! stepped headers-no muffler, thats all you need. you lose a bit of torque, though.

Biggie - search the forums, there are a few posts on putting car mufflers on a Buell. You can also sell your race pipe thats on the bike now on here. Just do a little research to see what they go for. |

I modified a stock muffler, by fitting a 18" Cherry Bomb glass pack inside. Have the sound but looks stock. |

The Cherry Bomb muffler doesn't have a "perforated core" as the normal bike muffler has. While it IS perforated, the material is also bent and made into louvers. Can you tell...I also thought about it! So far I'm still working on my modified stock version. Mike |

A bit off topic- if ur looking for the noise factor, check out twistedchoppers.com. They make pipes that fit on a Buell for pretty cheap. And they are REALLY loud. |
