My S3T's starter has to come out. It looks like there's a little room to maneuver around the headers. I'd like to know if the headers have to come off. FSM doesn't mention it. Anyone got any tips? |

I made a half hearted attempt doing this on a 2000 M2, and chickened out. I could not figure out how to get it off with the headers in place. It was to address a very slow leak through the starter gasket though, so I was not very motivated and was looking for excuses to button it back up. If I was really stuck, I might have worked it out. |

I just pulled the header on my 2000 M2. I had to replace the gasket, the new metal/rubber type is MUCH better than the old paper piece of crap..... Brad |

Mine's got the O2 sensor back there so I might just have to remove the header. |

The header is coming out. There's no room unless it's removed. |
