Hey everyone, I am leaving the military soon and wanting to relocate my family and I to KY, I have never been there and don't know much about the areas but after doing research I am thinking about Bowling Green...I need to go to school and it seems like a nice place...any advice for or against or somewhere else to look into? I was also considering TN as well so any info about either would be appreaciated...not sure if this is the correct forum to be asking but I do have a Buell LOL!! Thanks! |

Where are you stationed now? Bowling Green is a nice town, I'm down the road in TN in Nashville. I lurk here hoping to catch some good rides up in KY sometime. Lots of great towns in TN too. What kind of school you looking for? |

Right now I am in Hawaii...waiting on some paperwork for a medical discharge. I am looking for any kind of school really...tech...community college..I am going to go for either computers or vet tech and my wife will go for nursing, but she won't go right away. I am open to TN or KY just trying to get more info on the places. I would like to live in a small town and rent a home or apt, but still close enough to the bigger cities to go to school...shopppin..ect. Nashville is a bigger city that much I know lol...any nice smaller cities around it? |

Lots of great little small town between Bowling Green and Nashville. Gallatin has a good community college, about 45 minutes from Nashville, not far from the KY line. CCRyder lives in that area, maybe he can tell you more. |

I am in Lebanon, Ohio, which is between Dayton and Cincinnati. Lots of smaller towns around here, but that are within commuting distance of both Dayton and Cincinnati, which is nice for job flexibility. Cincinnati and Dayton both have some very good (under rated) schools as well, UC, Cincinnati State, Wright State, Sinclair, etc. Wright Patt air force base is in Dayton as well. Nashville is prettier though, and closer to Deals Gap. |

Kinda fond of London, KY myself. Smaller size town, but growing leaps and bounds. In fact, they've almost completed a new HD shop, hopefully a HD/Buell shop. Nice location. Lots of back-country roads to ride and right next to I-75. But honestly, many great towns in this region. Curious as to what had you looking around this area specifically. You have family from here? Edit: Also, I got a lot respect for military and ex-military. Thank you for serving. (Message edited by stevenc150 on May 06, 2009) |

I am from WI and it is too cold for me...and the city I live in is getting pretty bad with gangs and such. I have a family now and kids and stuff so just want to go somewhere better and have met some people while in the military from KY and TN, seem like nice people and liked their hometowns. |

Rarely, it looks like. I don't get on the stormfronts much because the bike isn't up and running, well, until now. I finally think I have it lined out. A few heat cycles and maybe going to the river Thursday night should get it good and broke in. We'll see. |

I usually go with my bros to ABATE of Indiana's "the Boogie". It looks like that's where it's going for me. A real good event to go to is AMA Vintage Days at Mid Ohio. I haven't made this one for several years. Perhaps we could meet up somewhere and go to Vintage Days. Vintage Days is the weekend of 25-26 Jul. I've been to Little Sturgis several times and it is a real good party. But one of my bros was a big Boogie fan so I've usually been going with him to the Boogie. |

I forgot to mention that the Boogie is usually always on the same weekend as the Little Sturgis Rally. |

Next saturday or sunday I am planning to ride from Cincinnati to (Northern) Kentucky. Route will be From Alexandria to Willow on SR10 and from Willow to Williamstown on SR22. I will get back to Cinci on 75 or most probably riding on other minor roads. I'd love to find mates to share the corners and enjoy a chilled coke. Gianluca |

Just dropping by so we don't get archived. I think I've been able to put a grand total of 100 miles on my bike this year. That sucks! Just got my valve spring compressor in the mail today and going to replace both valves in the front head. Fun, fun. |

Not wanting to sound like some hick from the sticks I did a Google search to find out just what Buelltoberfest was. Since it's in Suches GA on the first weekend in Oct. [2-4 Oct.] I think I'll go down a day early and check it out. I was planning on attending a poker run in Cleveland GA, weather permitting. |

KK, I was wondering because I have tentative plans of leaving about a week early. Plan to go the London and see a friend of mine, then to Louisville to visit some friends there and then meander back down to GA. If anyone is interested in Buelltoberfest III, the details are posted at the top of Storm Fronts. I went last year. People showed up from all over. |
