So is this fake or what? Look at the date at the top left. That looks like 9/01/09 to me, but some people are saying it's 7/01/09 and that the ticket is real. The "ticket" seems fishy to me. (Message edited by boltrider on July 15, 2009) |

Haha, www.philipodegard.com goes straight to ticketmaster. But I think that's because his website crashed. 7/01/09 was a Wednesday, so they got that part right if that's what it says. But it seems like a joke. (Message edited by boltrider on July 15, 2009) |

Thats a "Euro" styled seven. Actually used to avoid mistaking the seven for a one. Cites are still issued even if driver is arrested and vehicle towed. Those are different forms. |

That sort of speed here would be "Go to jail, go directly to jail, do not pass GO, do not collect $200" More than 40kmh over the limit, that's no longer speeding, it's dangerous driving if they want to. Over 3 times the limit? sell the Bugatti & hire a chauffeur, you're going to be banned for a long time. |

All the 7s are written the same way, so that seems legit. |

It says "2008 Bugatti". The Bugatti Veyron is absolutely capable of 210 mph. |

At that speed how could you not get away? I guess he went by the cop so fast he didn't see him and therefore didn't know to turn and take an evasive route. |

Can't outrun planes, helicopters, and more importantly, radio waves. |

If its true, this isnt the last we'll be hearing of it. Kinda like the guy in MN a few years ago that was ticketed for over 200 on a Honda iirc. It will come out in time. |

Dude is 23 and the registered owner of a Bugatti, so he must be living the life. It says "2008 Bugatti". The Bugatti Veyron is absolutely capable of 210 mph Yes, I'm not disputing that. They say that car can do 254 under ideal conditions. (Message edited by boltrider on July 16, 2009) |

Oh no, does this mean instead of saying something was 205 we now have to say it was 210? |

I say its legit. there was the owner of a Koenigsegg CCX that was caught doing over 240mph in Houston, TX and just got a tcket for it... supposed to be the world record for the fastest speeding ticket ever. http://foreverdriven.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/k oenigsegg-ccx-933-4.jpg |

This isn't ticket territory, its guns drawn when you stop or crash territory. And the cop wouldn't say "210+". There'd be an exact speed on the ticket. Bogus. |

My nosey butt couldn't find a whole lot on it but this... http://jalopnik.com/tag/210-mph-speeding-ticket/ Says the dude is a "Social Media Mogul" maybe it's Mr. Facebook? And according to the California law they have quoted it's not more than a $500 fine. (Message edited by Kyrocket on July 17, 2009) |

Seems like this makes it lean toward being legit..... but only 5 bills??????? I've heard of folks getting tickets for $2500 (second offense wheelie in FL). |

How could it not be considered reckless driving, which is a 2-pointer? Here in California they send people to jail for much less of an offense. Seems very fishy. |
