Odd, I started on a Uly, moved to a Lightning, now am on a Blast. Too bad I missed the Buell Bicycle that was in the classifieds. When can we expect Buell Mass Centralized shoes? |

AFAIK, the tuber blast was nothing but a thumper in an S1...I'd LOVE to build one someday, just to say I did it |

Com'on Court do tell.... The Blast is my gateway Buell, thank you so much. It is a very cool bike. I just met Maggie who put 50,000 miles on her original Blast and told a very interesting story about getting her 09 Blast. |

My 03 Blast says on the speedo something along the lines of "Buell, a Harley-Davidson Company" |

"The BLAST® literally transformed the way Buell does EVERYTHING." LOL! I'd LOVE to hear a breakdown of how the Blast is ultimately responsible for the 1125R! ~SM |

Cliff...I THINK he meant that the Blast was the stepping stone from more or less one at a time production to a more streamlined, planned and orchestrated approach. |

Aw, I was hoping for something more mind-blowing. I'd LOVE to see a restyle of the Blast. It's WAY overdue, and would be so simple! Lower bars, and the tried-n-true Firebolt tail swap! No new parts, just a few adapters. EDIT: I take it back, they would require a new seat, I think, so one new part.

Good eye Indy! No Buell logos anywhere to be seen... very curious indeed. All this talk is really making me want a used Blast as a project bike! But dangit, I don't have enough cash to tweak the toys I already have! ~SM |

The Blast no only lead the way on changes on the process for designing the bieks but also how they were assembled and parts sourced. It lead the way to high quality Buell. It also was the test bed for the engine in the XB9. Lots of development work that lead to the XB9 was carried out during the development of the Blast. In some ways the 9 engine is two Blasts. |

Huh. I would have expected the XB to have more in common with the X1 than the Blast. But then, I know virtually nothing about Buell pre-XB. ~SM |

Yes the Blast is pretty much a 1 cyl XB9S. The share a ton of crap, including same bore and stroke. I haven't really torn into it, but its nice having to stock only 1 oil filter and one set of gaskets and use it on multiple bikes |

Anyone who thinks EB "never really liked the Blast" hasn't ridden one. They are truly a blast: light, great in turns, simple to work on and make zippy if you want, good sound, etc. Unless you are a very big person (and even then, there are some big Blastards out there), this bike is a lot of what I'm sure we all love about motorcycles and riding. Ours always puts a smile on my face. |

>>>I'd LOVE to hear a breakdown of how the Blast is ultimately responsible for the 1125R! I was a test rider on the Thor (BLAST®) development team. It's an amazing motorcycle and an amazing example of American manufacturing. The BLAST® defined nearly every part of how the 1125R process eventually evolved. |

By the way . . . a really sharp person, one capable of thinking beyond internet hyperbole and bar talk, could clearly see a future GM or Chrysler in the BLAST®. One of the things the BLAST® did was to identify and address the very problems that have cursed American industry. It's not likely a discussion that will take place here, but it is fact. |
