I was thinking that we should do a weekend ride before our August trip. You know maybe in the next two weekends (either Sat or Sun). Something like this:
1. Meet at Sem. HD/Buell in AM (say 9:00)
2. Take I4 to Enterprise and take scenic road next to Lake Monroe to SR415
3. Take SR415, Williamson, Nova, US1 to Destination Daytona Buell/Duc/Tri shop
4. Then US1 to LOOP to A1A south to Main St
5. Pit stop at Boot Hill
6. A1A south to Dunlawtin, US 1 south to 44
7. Late lunch at Pub 44
8. Head home
I do this ride every two months or so. Not a crazy cornering deal but a decent day out.
Anyone interested??

ECMSPY is alive and running! This application is amazing! Monitor running parameters, live data stream, activate/test components and adjust fuel maps! YEEE-HAWWW
Frank - stop over after work this week. You wont believe the difference until you ride it afterwards.

I'm up for a ride as long as it's not this weekend. I have a show in St. Pete.
Wrapped my pipes and made a heat shield out of some old pottery gloves (rated to 2000° f) and rode in shorts with no real heat issues.
Sam, does the ECMSPY work on '08 and up? |

I guess I'd better call Sem HD to see if they've fixed my transmission yet so I can join you guys. At 8,500 miles she stopped shifting into 4th and 5th...so add this to the list of repairs under warranty. Lets see.. the following have been replaced/repaired:
riders seat (staples pulled out)
passengers seat (staples pulled out)
front brake rotor (warped)
horn (dead)
both top rockers gaskets (oil leaking out)
clutch cable & retaining clip (common) |

By the way. A big thanks to Sam who reset my TPS and AFV last night. Runs a bit crisper now. I did get rained on going home Sam. From Downtown Orlando to my house.
What is with all the 2008's with rocker cover leaks?? That was common with the pre-XB Buells but until recently I havn't heard of it with the newer models??

No bikes there when I stopped in at 6:45 or so.
Beat the storm home pretty much, glad there wasn't a cop on the Lake Jessup bridge.

I got there just about 7:00. Sat and had a quick dinner and then figured I try to out run the weather. Made it just past UCF and got nailed. There was no where to pullover on the back roads so I continued. High winds, hail & so much more fun! Made it home, just barely, soaked but safe.
Maybe next week? |

Sorry I missed ya, John. I only rode in about 1/2 mile of storm, but was very lucky. When I rolled across the bridge, there was a wall of water less than a block away, comin' at me!
Had my Frogg Toggs in my backpack, but stopping to put them on would've taken too long. It was bad enough stopping to pay the extortion fee. |

I was dressed and headed out when it downtown. Pretty rough storm. I got over 1.5" of rain and wind was howling.

FYI
My brother (lives in N. Sebring) emailed me today that The Ridge HD/Buell shop is closing. They are moving everything back to Lakeland shop. Not enough biz to keep it open. I liked going there for tires and service for my Buell and HD. I guess I'll go to Lakeland now. They also have the $1 tire installation fee.

Thanks for the update LaFayette. I all or at least most of the employees got jobs at Lakeland.
The economy certainly isn't getting any better. I hope it turns around soon.
