My friend Mike and I did a 300+ mile ride last Wednesday over 3 passes here in Colorado. He put a very shortened version of the ride over one of those passes on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbaqIYw4r6Q |

Ryan, Its is highway 134 that starts 6 miles north of Kremmling and goes west (over Gore Pass 27 miles) to highway 131 at Toponas. From Toponas we then went south to state bridge and then to Wolcott which is at I-70 which is also a really nice ride. |

Thanks Jc. On vacation right now and looking for places to go. Just did the Hwy 50 to CO 550 to Durango. Stayed in Durango for 4 days and took Hwy 160 back. Amazing run. |

Ryan, Have good trip. You are in a very beautiful part of the state. have you ridden south of gunnison to lake city and then over slumgullion pass to creed? might be a way to head back home if your going that way. |

From highway 50, about 10 miles west of gunnison, you go south on highway 149 thru Lake city and continue to creed that finally ends up on highway 160. from there, you can go east or south over Wolf creed pass. actually if you are in the durango area now, you can do this ride in reverse as described from 160 east of durango. |

Also, do not forget that all national parks entrance fees are free this saturday and sunday while you are out there. black canyon of the gunnison is really nice about 20 miles east of montrose on highway 50. |

Jc, thanks for the suggestion of 131 to 134. Awesome roads. I already did the Durango trip btw and enjoyed the right. Yesterday I went to 82 (Independence Pass) and went from there to 131 and 134. 82 is a nice ride for scenery, but the road itself is a bit in need of work. Now, 131 and 134 are much better I would say, the curves are tight, but not so much so that you have to be overly careful. Plus, they are cleaner with less traffic. Coming back I took 40. Another really good twisty road. Seriously guys, all Bueller's need to make a pilgrimage out to CO. Forget NC/TN Deal's Gap area. This place is where riding is at. Even Buell himself loves this place for riding. |

Ryan, Glad you enjoyed your ride. Yes, Independence pass road is not in the best shape but fantastic scenery. 40 is nice over Berthod pass. Are you back home now? |
