Yet again another great day. It was great to see some new faces. Scotty thank you for the beer! It was really good for your first time brewing your own. You could be on to something. Maybe start your own brewery? Buell brew for the 3%'r in all of us. Gregg (Steel31bravo) pm was sent with the tuning links. |

How funny was it that we crossed paths as I was heading out and you were heading back! I went on a loop of my own today. Zigzagged through CT to route 84, took that south to Danbury, took route 7 back to Mass and then took 20 home. Only stopped for gas and drinks |

Gregg- Let me know when you can swing by we can do the basics: TPS & AFV reset, and intro to the software. Then you'll know enough to be dangerous, just like me.

no matter what the profit is on the 1125's, right now you could still drive an hour north and spend $1000. less. I think a lot of places will give up quite a bit of profit just to have a person leave happy and tell everyone they know where they got their deal. I am sure it pays off in the long run. You can never compete with "word of mouth" advertising. If a friend of mine tells me not to go somewhere or he had a bad experience, 99% I wont go there even if I haven't had any problems with that place. |

This is why NOBODY likes Sheldons here, We have all gone there and had a bad experience or two/three. The "word of mouth" is what kills them here really. I bad mouth them for years and I am sure I have taken plenty of there service work away from them...Haha Keep in mind that Erik doesn't make the decisions there, he is just another one of there puppet's. They may "BRAIN WASH" him into thinking they are more than they are, but ultimately he has very little to do with a sale. It is funny how the price has came down now though, I thought the 1125's were "worth" that price and MSRP wasn't for suckers. If this was the case there wouldn't be bikes from last year sitting on the floor there and this years models would be flying off the shelves....yea, Ain't happening! Now if Buell was as good as they think they are I wouldn't have bought myself a Honda this time around, trust me, buying jap crap isn't something I do willingly. I had to make a decision and Buell lost....LOL I went for quality this time around. I needed something that can last a little more than 18,000 miles before going BOOM!! Now...lets see if I made a good decision... |

If it was up to me Eric, the price would stay the same until we had otherwise worked out a deal. These bikes are being sold at a loss, and I think that it is a stupid way of doing business. Never the less, I am doing what is asked of me and getting the word out, however, for the same reason that I wasn't going to post these prices I see it is not going to do any good.

I've been here 3 years now, when was the last time you've come here? When was the last time you brought your bike anywhere for service? |

I am so sick of trying to reach out to some of you. You must think that running a business is simply a matter of: stock everything that anyone could possibly want and sell it for less then what you pay for it and everything will be great. I've posted discount offers before for NEBO members, and only one person took advantage of that offer. Unfortunately it involved a race department part that was made up of some components that were vendor direct. To you that may mean nothing, but in the real world, you can not be prepared for every circumstance. That person's complaining killed this program before I was able to really get it started. Were they right to complain? Maybe yes, maybe no. Maybe there were un-met expectations from the customer's point of view. This was the first time we have dealt with the race department, and we didn't know what to expect. These bikes (the XB models) were flying off the showroom floor last year. Everyone of my customers know that I give it my all, and I bear the responsibility for anything that may not live up to their expectations. I do this because I am still trying to give everyone the dealership experience that they wanted. |

Erik, I wasn't ragging on you in any way. I was "trying" to point out that YOU really have little to do with how Sheldon/HD runs there company. Basically saying "don't beat up on Erik cuz he works there...not much he can do"....Take it for what it is & how you see fit to interpret what I say.... For me and the service dept at Sheldons....Yea, They FAILED miserably.... I went for the first service, and BOY DID I GET SERVICED!!!! 4 times I had to travel my bike back and forth in the back of a truck because they couldn't do it right THE FIRST TIME.... Yes, I work on my own bike, refuse to bring it to a dealership...and after my "Dealership Experience" I was all set with going back. so they F'd it up enough times for ME to be all set with returning for more punishment to my wallet and my bike. I barely got a "Sorry" when I went there that many times and when they blow smoke up my azz thinking I don't know anything about bikes...yea that pisses me off....and I say F-Them!!!! The dealership has little to do with my wanting to fix my own bike. I am more than capable of tearing it down and rebuilding it... I don't need to pay some yahoo hack job mechanic top dollar to scratch my bike. I am more than capable of doing that on my own....haha Answer me this......Why is it that every bike that has come to my SHED and left ALWAYS left in the same shape if not better than it was delivered to me as. NO scratches, no running problems, nothing...they wanted a service, I gave them that service and I respected there machine like it was my own... tire changes, tune ups, tunning etc..etc..etc... YET a dealership countless times screws up that same thing.. how many times they mess up a simple tire change, oil change, TPS reset...Yet they expect you to come back or forget about the bad experiences... You can only stuff it to a customer so many times before they don't EVER go back.. I am sure if I make a thread on this MANY stories will come out on how a dealership has such poor customer service.....it is a fact, not anything else...it HAS been proven countless times. Do a search here, you know it is true...... You may be able to trick the NESR crowd but I think you would be hard pressed to convince the knowing... Wait..I am rambling here...It is time to leave work...Gotta go! |

Eric it's called flat rate I've done it for 5 years before realizing that if you try to do a good job you lose your shirt and that goes for any industry (auto or motorcycle). I'm sorry to throw my two cents in I know how you feel. |

Hey Boos...once again you missed the point. Stop "trying to reach out" Just ride man... Stop selling us, stop whining, just ride. You don't need to race, you don't even need to wear your race gear, just ride. No more preaching about running a business and how to do so...MSRP, sold at a loss, worth this much, not worth that much, have these parts, can't carry those parts... All that just gives us (and I use that loosely...I don't intend to speak for everybody) the sh!ts...just ride. Are you seeing the pattern here? One more time... Just ride. |
