I know this has been done before, but can it be done on an Ss frame? I'm looking for something different and i want to see some pics of lightnings with firebolt tails.... |

i think you gotta squeeze/stretch the tail subframe so the bolt holes line up to the SS mounts. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/sear ch.cgi |

You could always trade your ss on a S or scg with someone on here. |

That is my bike that Stevenc posted the link to. As far as I know I am the first to do it. Not like its anything ground breaking, but was a real fun project. It really wasnt that tough once I figured out how to go about it. The benefit of doing this swap to a Ss is that you have the longer swing arm which IMO looks nicer. I actually ended up putting a R front fairing on also. So I have a SsR now. Here a a cell phone pic. Also got the wheels and headers done.

Silverbullet did the mod in 06 to his brand new ss at the time, sold the bike a month later, he is about 5 bikes down the road now. Yours looks good! I am in love with the long wheelbase at speed in a corner. |
