SO my bike was parked in a motorcycle parking spot on Friday and a lovely woman in my building decided to back into it with her car. The excuse it was too low to see. I hate life sometimes we only get a few nice months to ride and now ill be missing one of them. |

What kind of damage? How would it not be the same? Its not like it got ran over by a garbage truck and everything would be out of alignment. |

I don't know yet but she hit it hard enough to throw it forward about five feet and knock it over the cement curb. |

I don't understand "never will be same" comment either .. ???? I have a 2006 Mustang that got hit with $11,000 worth of damage. After the repair It's actually better than it was before the accident ... |

People just don't pay attention. She made not have seen it while in the car, but it apparently was close enugh for her to see walking up to the car. Its not like it got ran over by a garbage truck Funny you say that...One of my dad's drivers backed over a GSXR and destroyed it about a year ago now. The situation was actually quite comical. |

Better than new? No, never. As good as new? Maybe. Depends on who did the work and what needed to be done. |

Ouch your looking at 1k+ just to replace a rear quarter on a stang. Are the rear quarters on the new gen mustang welded in like in the 99-04's? I've got a decent dent in the drivers rear quarter of my 03, it should be poppable though without being noticeable. Edit: well it looks like they are, crappy ass design for an often damaged part. Edit: well it looks like they are, crappy ass design for an often damaged part. You are aware that most cars have weld in quarter panels?? |

I thought ALL cars have rear 1/4's welded on ... only the front fenders are bolt on. |

Not all. Corvettes for example are bolt on. On another note Rolls Royce and Bentleys have weld on fenders just like the quarter panels. |

Corvettes don't count ... can't weld fiberglass ... :-) |

Tuesday must have been Hit and Run day. I had the same thing happen . I got to work early and parked way out of the way to be safe . Someone came to drop off somebody later and backed into my bike hard enough to knock it back 5 feet . They said "usually ' nothing is there so they didn't think to look before backing up. Rick |

That sucks to hear about your bike, but at least you got their info and you weren't left screwed. It sucks trying to keep your stuff nice. Nice Mustang BTW. I'm not a big Ford fan, but can appreciate a sharp car when I see one. I like your old wheels as well, I have a wider variant on my T/A. http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff163/DennisTA1 5/SNV30621-1.jpg |
